IIRC. He (LWS) also said that after the second "no" we moved on to Frost. And that was several days ago. He thinks he doesn't come here but he's still posting about him which is interesting.

Hubbs is chasing (evident by yesterday) more than he's ever had to in recent memory. Currie has locked it down pretty well.

I am excited to see McBride start again. He was fun to watch at times. If they can just teach him to throw away.

I don’t think they are saying “say this verbatim”

I’m saying Jimmy does that on his own. He doesn’t color outside the lines. He gets info. He vets it. He repeats it.

He's not officially telling that. He's lost likely confiding in people and they in turn are confiding in people and they in turn tweet it or post it.

Ziti, man, if you’re right and they don’t announce anything for 11 days+ this place is going to melt. Haha we’re just getting started with the rollercoaster rides then.

I’m still full Gruden until he’s not the coach. And I can’t see them holding that in for weeks. But maybe they can.

Wasn't it grudens agent we got the rejection from last time?

I imagine if he says no we will hear it from someone similar in the next few days.

Not that the team would likely know anyways or that they would say if they possibly did, but from what I’ve heard JJ says he hasn’t heard anything about a coach as late as last night. That comes from his step mom this morning so tifwiw. I don’t think the team knows one way or the other imo. Again I don’t claim to know anything just what I’m hearing.

2 nights ago the reports weren't that Gruden was offered and he's thinking about it. It was that it's a done deal and he's signed.

If the rumors from Wednesday night were true then the rumors Thursday night saying he said no should be expected if the annoucement of a new head coach was gonna be made AFTER THE SEASON ENDED.

Naming a new coach with 2 games left was unlikely to happen. Gruden himself said on Mike and Mike that he wasn't gonna say anything about the Tennessee job out of respect for the coaches that are still there. It would be a major distraction to the current staff and players to announce a new head coach in the middle of the season. Thus seeing reports come out the night after these same sources said it was a done deal that he said no should be expected. They're trying to put the genie back in the bottle if the official announcement won't be for another 10 days.

You can't have what happened Wednesday night happening every night for the next 10 days until the season ends and a coach can be announced. Ohio State and Urban Meyer went through this same thing. He signed a contract to become the Ohio State football coach on November 17, 2011. That was with 2 weeks to go in the season. Some website picked this up and reported it. This sent people into a frenzy. That caused Urban Meyer and Ohio State to say it was a false report. Then 2 weeks later Urban Meyer is introduced as the new Ohio State football coach.

If Gruden was a done deal Wednesday night, then you should expect people saying it's not happening today so they can quiet the noise for the next 10 days before an official announcement can be made.

They won't announce anything until after the last game but that doesn't mean we won't know who the coach top guy is.

IIRC, we knew Strong was the guy in 2012 for a week or so before the regular season ended. He ultimately turned it down, of course, but we knew the inner workings.
