My dad was good friends with the man that took over Zepco back when it was about to be sent to Mexico and turned it around. I stay with him for about 10 days and he set me up with him on a fishing trip with Tommy. Been a long while back. Zepco of course was one of his major sponsors and showed me how to fish like that. What was funny I didn't know he was left handed and that how I learned it. I thought you were just suppose to do it left handed and when I told him it was hard cause I am righted handed he laughed and said I am left handed do it right handed. Bass, I had done it left hand about all day long and when I tried to start right handed and couldn't do it so I stayed left handed. lol

Lol! That's cool. He seems like a great dude on TV. Most of those guys are tho, just good ole country boys. I'd really like to meet Ott Defoe. He's from Knoxville, probably a Vol fan.

Weird vibe in here tonight. Feel like we're all just resigned to the fact he'll turn it down.

The longer it goes without an answer, the worse it looks.

I hope the rumors were true and they really did give him a deadline, because Tennessee can't fart around on Gruden, stumble into a mid-major hire after scrambling following Gruden declining, and expect everything to be okay.

Hubbs said a little bit earlier that a lot of Petersen’s frustration in the PAC 12 is the time of their games. He reiterated that there is some rumors of him wanting out. I hope we kick the tires, even if it is just him wanting a raise.

Doesn't he have a fued going on with ESPN about that?

The longer this goes on the less likely he ends up taking the job IMO. One way or the other a decision needs to be made. If he does turn it down, especially after that interview he did this morning, he's going to become very unpopular amongst those in the volnation. Would be a troll job of epic proportions. His supposed reasoning for turning it down the first couple of times in this search was that he didn't want to risk hurting friendships he has developed over the years at UT. I would think if he turned it down again after how his camp has handled it that would hurt some friendships.

Bass, He tossed one over this floating log in a cove I was of course fishing of the back when all the sudden I heard this loud swoosh and as he started reeling it in he was hollering for to get the net! It was 8 1/2 pounds. Was a great trip and he was very nice man. Once last thing. His brand new Ranger boat and Mercury motor he had? The motor caught fire on our way back LOL seriously no joke. We put it out and I was scared all the rest of the way in afraid it was going to blow up. :eek:lol:

You could also argue that he's riding on Fuente's coat tails, much like Jones did with Brian Kelly. Has he really topped anything that Jones has done to this point?

Do you know the personnel? Memphis starts at least seven players on defense right now who are freshmen and sophomores that Norvell recruited. He recruited Riley Ferguson and Patrick Taylor, who leads them in rushing TD's. There other two RB's were redshirted but never played for Fuente. There is only one senior on the OL, and Norvell has been there 2 years.

The only real players that Fuente developed are their two best WR's- Miller and Mayhue.

The player development under Norvell has been really good.

Throw the Gruden deal at him.
