Kinda the same. People are optimistic. But guys listen Currie doesn’t let anything leak and i mean anything. During the baseball search right before vitello was about to hired even baseball ops and benhjnd the scenes people didn’t even know who it was. They just knew his clothes sizes and were told to get the mvp room and baseball ready for a presser and media.

That’s how much of a ninja Currie is.

Also helps to keep things secret when not as many people care (ie the baseball search as opposed to football). I guarantee there have been leaks with the football search. Its just determining which ones are true and which aren't.

That's the thing though, Norville has accomplished even less than Botch did at the lower level. Looks like another dumpster dive to me.

Also, butch got a lot of talent here. His ineptness won out but it’s not like any idiot can just win. Butch was bad but he wasn’t a total empty suit.

The weight and expectations here can break someone if they don’t have what it takes long term

Eh Norvell’s success this year is about on par with Butch’s best years at Cincy. Norvell has a much more successful background as an offensive assistant though.

Darrius slay may be the best corner in the nfl.
Fletcher cox is a top 5 DT
Dak, Alex Smith, cam newton, (3 starting NFL QBs that he played a part in)...we haven’t had a qb since manning take a meaningful NFL snap.
Chris jones is a great DE for the chiefs.
Gabe Jackson is a starting OL
Pernell McPhee is a starting LB
That’s not even counting other various role players in the nfl.



Look up how many 2,3,4 win seasons Mississippi State has had since 2000 before Mullen got there. His success directly led to the the new indoor facility that was built a few years back there.

The fact the he has been able to convince Manny Diaz, todd grantham, etc to come to Starkville is a miracle in its own.

You are showing your A$$ bad and making it obvious that you don’t follow nfl players or know anything about Mississippi State or Dan Mullen. But hey keep pushing F5 thinking only Jon Gruden can save TN football.

I will be estatic with Gruden and happy with Danny Boy. The Butch is gone and The ***** (UT) is Back.

The more I hear about Dan Mullen the more it makes me ill. I wish I was a believer in him, but on the other hand since I believe his supposed interest in UT is nothing more than a ploy to get more money out of State, I really don't think I'll have to worry about it. If I was a believer in the Meh it would just hurt worse when he and Gruden both turn us down.
