Kinda like I predicted seventy times over? Although I was surprised it was Feldman, not Low.

Gruden will let ESPN break it IF it’s him. I think Feldman somehow gets the scoop again if it’s anyone else.

Yup pretty much. Yet everyone over in FF is freaking out about a plane. If anything had been signed or Gruden was on the plane, ESPN would have broken the story. Hell, Gruden hasn't even been released from his ESPN contract yet.

I agree. If that's the case I don't see any way ESPN hides the announcement. Most reasonable people should see that the idea of Gruden on a plane back to Knoxville right now for a press conference is a little far fetched.

Not sure how the Butch termination is relevant. While no one broke it early (that's good management imo), everyone knew it was going to happen. The hiring is a completely different scenario as there are tons of moving pieces to it.

Anyone who watched a UT football game post-GT knew it was going to happen. Was just a matter of when. There are moving parts to firing a coach for sure though. But I'll concede your point that hiring has more moving parts. However, none of these "insiders" predicted the hirings of Kiffin, Dooley, or Butch.

Everyone put this Wallace hack on a pedestal over buyout negotiations, yet Butch got full buyout. The story was officially unleashed and the deed was done when Feldman broke it. Unless ESPN breaks something on their analyst or something official materializes from Feldman, Low, Dodd or one of those types, this is speculation. Wallace, Beaver, not even Brice or Hubbs breaks the official story.

The waiting was getting so long that many on here flipped and believed Butch could and even would stay.

If I'm the new UT HC, upon inking the deal, I approach the first college-aged kid I encounter and ask him to tweet the Daily Times that I'm the new coach at Tennessee. Let the news break from Maryville. :shades:

Most of the in the Gruden thread have me on ignore because each day I post either good news or bad news depending on how I am feeling.... lol

The only thing I have left is Joe stood up for me.... made me cry ..

Also I haven?t made Preacher list yet, that is ultimate banishment I believe...

No one will listen to me now so guess my fun is about over

He may say no, but there’s too much smoke to still have any belief Currie isn’t swinging for the fences. Have a friend who typically comes to me for info saying it’s done. I had low level sources in the utad a decade ago, but they’re all gone. My career change to the military distanced me from SID peeps. I don’t know what to make of his assertion. He probably did gain some high falutin friends with his new job, but I also know he wants Gruden bad. Claims the players found out yesterday which is what caused Jennings’ insta post

Probably mentioned before, but Geoff Caulkins was talking the other day and said that there is ZERO evidence that Gruden could coach on a college level? He mentioned that Gruden didn't know anything about the recruiting game and all the rules associated with it.

It’s a different day for the boosters with Currie. Last time they were all giving out information (which turned out to be wrong) like they were bragging. This time nobody knows a damn thing.
They still talk about the money being there but no information coming back their way from the ad.

I’ve said before the Gruden hire would be a good sign. I just don’t think he’s into it.

I don’t know who I’d say is my first choice either.

I’m going to wait and see....hope for the best....and try to evaluate whoever fairly.
