Run Down:
1. Gruden did MNF in Charlotte, left Charlotte Tuesday, stopped in ATL, then on to Tampa.
2. Currie was spotted on a flight to Charlotte Monday.
3. Currie was in DC interviewing a coach last night. The reason why he wasn't at the BBall game.
4. Numerous outlets and (Brice) have confirmed JG and university are still negotiating. JG wants everything to be right before he signs the contract.
5. JG has reached out to some VFL's in regards to interest on the staff. Also confirmed by Hargis and Brice.

Deuce Gruden for strength coach.

I stayed off my phone at work long enough. WHERE IS GRUDEN? Does anybody have the location of AD Currie? Is mission "Red October" a success?

Imagine it: Currie steps to the podium at a packed house presser... he says “Guys, we did it! We got GRUDEN!”

Then, Jay Gruden walks out to the podium timidly to crickets...

LOL

Hey Lurker. That's not funny. You can't disappear for days then come and the post you reply to is a Jay Gruden comment?

:glare:

We'd fill a 150k seat Neyland with Jon at the helm.

This is why I say college is the place for The Grude when people argue he needs the bigger NFL stage because of his ego. In the NFL, the players are the stars. In college, the coaches are the stars! Players are around 3 or 4 yrs. Coaches are there as long as they want (or win). If ego was a deciding factor, college would trump the NFL every time.

I BELIEVE!!

How do you get existing players to re-commit and recruits to commit as a new coach? How do you convince them you are all in on winning year 1?

You share the headline from the beginning with big name assistants that top players want to play for.
