Out of curiosity what are your predictions for the following seasons if Gruden does become the next HC given the talent level and state of our football program right now? What would be your prediction for recruiting classes in those same years.

I'll give first

2018: 7-6 to 9-3 holds together a top 15 class
2019: 8-4 to 10-2 and top 5 class
2020 9-3 to sky is the limit with another top 5 class


Just gauging what the expectations are from the fan base if he is hired. Also curious what your reaction would be if we were to go 8-4 or 7-5 in those three seasons.

I have always maintained I would love to have Gruden on the hill but also realize no one has a magic wand to fix all the problems in our program. As much as I would love to see him I do not view it as the end of the world if it doesn't happen there are several names I would be ALMOST as happy with.

First off, glad to see you dreaming big again.

I would be surprised if it was much better next year than 7-6/8-5. After that I think it’s reasonable to expect 9-4/10-3 as normal.

He's not coming to UT for the same reason that Kiffin isn't coming back.

Too many violations... Kelly may be a good coach but he comes with a show cause .

Currie would have to go before the SEC and tell them why he would want Kelly.

SEC has already cleared him per the FL reports

Playing solid football is what I want to see. Nothing is a guarantee, but I think without a doubt Gruden wins big here over time. And we would be solid and tough and organized. There will a loses along the way. But we would be well coached I have no doubt. I think we play for or at least compete for titles by at least year 3. Sec east champs by year 3 at least. That is my floor thoughts on expectations. SOON!!!! GBO!!!!!! Gruden to Tennessee!!!!!!!

That’s awesome. I was one of the rabble as well. Although the last thing I remember about the game was thinking the stadium was going to collapse when Bo got hammered in the secondary. What a great day!!!

Just throwing this out but...

Gruden isn't going to come right out and say that he wants the job.
Just like anyone else who is looking at another job, you're not going to tip your hand to your current employer.

He has to play it close to his vest...
