Official Jon Gruden Thread 34

I think all signs point to Currie already has his guy and is locked in. That guy may or may not be Gruden, but since he is not using a search firm, he has someone locked in on his radar. And he has had this planned for a while now. Probably since about 5 PM on September 30.

Hopefully he’s not sitting at a poker table bluffing

Thank you Preacherwebb, besides my work productivity, my family, the dogs, the yard work, and everything else that has suffered the last couple of weeks due to my inability to stay away from the Gruden thread, my morning devotionals have admittedly taken a hit as well, so I appreciate the good word and encouragement. It was good for the soul and spirit this morning.

A head coach in the NFL works more than a college coach. So quality of life is better. The money we are offering him is better than his NFL counterparts. Truthfully, over the past few years of running qb camps for college kids, I believe he actually likes teaching the game now. He isn't dealing with millionaire egos.

I've decided that Gruden is going to coach football next year. I don't think it's in the NFL. I don't believe it would be any school other than UT.

I believe his comment this morning about being sensitive to other coaches was in reference to coaches he's contacted personally or through agents.

I believe his comment about keeping the job he's got was referring to wanting to finish MNF.

No one else has to believe any of this. I've tried as best as I could to find logic and truth in everything I've read here, what I've heard on the radio and what I've heard myself from someone I trust. I want Gruden more than any other living coach, but I didn't want to "blind follow".

Sorry if tl'dr.

I'm firmly at 95%. Chit happens, but I don't believe it will. If it does it does? Life goes on.
