I think that's the current stage of this process, he's putting together a staff. Gruden is making sure he gets this right. He's never been a college coach before so he really wants to surround himself with the right people. People who can coach, recruit, and understand Tennessee. I don't think it's as big of a concern as some are making it. The longer it drags out, the more people will be concerned. But I'm not concerned. Just give it time.

thanks for replying. I have been a little concerned that if he couldn't get who he wanted that it may cause a problem. appreciate you putting it to rest.. at least little. I am admittedly a worry wart.

There is one candidate that we all would prefer over Jon Gruden. And I dare say this in the Gruden thread. Peyton Manning would be #1 on everyone’s list. Even the most religious Grudenites in here. And it would totally blind side us all and make Saban #*#* his pants. Wonder if that has been discussed at all?

I think Peyton would make a MUCH better QB coach.

One of the few times a year I eat at McDonalds is when the McRib comes back. I don’t care what’s in it (probably crack) but it tastes damn good.

Getting the right staff together is the most important thing imo.

To me it seems like it's taming longer because they are going to be all systems go when the announcement is made.

IMO that will help with recruiting. A new recruit will know who is position coach or OC/DC in 2018 will be

Jon did not in 2012 or will not tell UT no directly, his agent will.

What's sad is that you're in the Gruden thread acting like he's not coming and were crazy for thinking or posting here. That's cool you got your own opinion, plenty of other places to go post about it. Most here want to read and make their own choice to believe or not.

If you have info, cool post it. It'll get sorted out. But get off the high horse and let everybody decide for themselves what they want to believe.
