Doesn't appear to be the case. It's in relations to the caliber of staff he wants to bring in according to Pill. This could tie into Currie supposedly seeking more money from the boosters.

If they are opening the vault for Gruden then it should not be hard to get the $$$$ for the assistants he wants! Otherwise they should GTFO (that is the boosters should GTFO).

Just keep making them say it on the radio over and over that Jon Gruden has been hired as head coach. Then when they say it, reply something to the effect of "WOW! That's crazy. NO ONE even mentioned him as a possibility." just to really drive home how bad they are at reporting....lol

Yeah, its a common complaint. However, normally when we **ck something up, its to prevent a bigger SNAFU in the future.

Suck to walk away form a deal. Sucks more to get stuck in a bad deal. Making clients understand that is part fo the challenge a lot of times.

My buddy does corporate work for Fortune 500 companies. They just walked away from a deal worth 800 million, eating 3.5 million in legal fees, because the facts went bad.

Ultimately, eating the 3.5 million in legal fees is nothing compared to losing 50-100 million if the deal went through.

I know a local company whose EX(!)-ceo talked his board in to buying a company for 1.6 billion. Turns out that company was about to go under. Lawyers gave him free reign. The company took a beating on Wall Street and had to go back private. Now that company is suffering through cutbacks all because of a "visionary" who really was a dip****- Bama grad by the way. Of course for his "retirement" he received a healthy golden parachute.

There is one candidate that we all would prefer over Jon Gruden. And I dare say this in the Gruden thread. Peyton Manning would be #1 on everyone’s list. Even the most religious Grudenites in here. And it would totally blind side us all and make Saban #*#* his pants. Wonder if that has been discussed at all?
