Official Jon Gruden Thread 34

the info from Pill states no contract has been signed but didn't someone highly respected on TOS say that he had tentatively signed? Of course I had concerns when I read the word "tentative" . But it sounded like more than an MOU.

If they are opening the vault for Gruden then it should not be hard to get the $$$$ for the assistants he wants! Otherwise they should GTFO (that is the boosters should GTFO).

If anything it should make them want to invest even more because it shows a commitment from Gruden in regards to getting the best possible assistants available to set us up for immediate successs.

There is one candidate that we all would prefer over Jon Gruden. And I dare say this in the Gruden thread. Peyton Manning would be #1 on everyone’s list. Even the most religious Grudenites in here. And it would totally blind side us all and make Saban #*#* his pants. Wonder if that has been discussed at all?

No. He's not even on my list, and I'll tell you why. If Peyton were to come here and for some reason not do as well as expected it would literally tear apart the very fabric of UT pride. Peyton needs to stay away from the coaching staff. If the fans turn on him, everything falls apart.

It is, and has been for a while, just a matter of timing. Expect more ups and downs in the coming days. But it's happening.

92, what do you think about the statement Pill made regarding Jon putting together an adequate staff. Think that’s old news or a concern?

If Currie is at the game then gruden isn’t meeting with him there

Two people have claimed photos from both sides. Waiting

so, you're saying that if pill says "gruden" instead of "certain coach", then the BOT member would know pill was leaking information?
With how the fake Ron Swanson post got shared all over Facebook from the Recruiting Forum, yes. Not mentioning the name ensures that people won't share it as much on places like Facebook.

I figured you might chime in on my post :)

I was half heartedly kidding, I'm in real estate and my father-in-law was my attorney for several years.......I tend to get more deals done using other attorneys.

Oh, we can screw it up faster than anyone. I deal with other attorneys all the time. So often there is one party holding a deal up, and its always because their attorney believes he can nickel and dime a slightly better deal.

Almost always, the deal gets done the same way, but everyone spent a lot more time and money waiting on the one party coming around and use common sense.
