For the next 2 minutes only I am giving free likes to anyone who posts.

Unless you are a mega-Grudes. Because you’re a wiener.

Good because Freak said that he will give me $100 for each like I acquire from the start of VN until December 31st 2017. it was a weird challenge but I accepted anyways.

  • The coach has certain expectations for his staff and if he can't meet them then the AD feels like he will back out. This seems to be a major concern.

This is the one that had worried me. if the guys he contacts don't want to come for whatever reason, would he back out?

Then if he was going to Tampa, he cannot go direct on Delta from Charlotte. Delta only goes to Minneapolis, Atlanta and Cincinnati from Charlotte.

And odds are if they want to keep this quiet and out of the news, he’d fly private out of somewhere. Highly possible a private jet could’ve awaited him in Tampa to fly him to Knoxville.

Might have to get ready for a bunch of this

Yeah, its a common complaint. However, normally when we **ck something up, its to prevent a bigger SNAFU in the future.

Suck to walk away form a deal. Sucks more to get stuck in a bad deal. Making clients understand that is part fo the challenge a lot of times.

My buddy does corporate work for Fortune 500 companies. They just walked away from a deal worth 800 million, eating 3.5 million in legal fees, because the facts went bad.

Ultimately, eating the 3.5 million in legal fees is nothing compared to losing 50-100 million if the deal went through.

It's been my experience from 25 years in business that if you choose your friends well, contracts (and lawyers) aren't necessary, and if you choose them poorly, contracts (and lawyers) aren't enough. So get the best lawyers you can, but try very hard to get even better friends.

A member of the BOT whom I have a business relationship with stated the following. He never said the name Gruden, but did say the name Patterson in reference to the backup plan.

  • They said that the AD believes they have their man but there are still a few small obstacles.
  • No contract has been officially signed, however an MoU was written and agreed upon on 11/3, and was signed on 11/12 during a meeting in Asheville.
  • There are a few small issues that are currently being worked out. These issues have less to do with UT, and more to do with the coach in question.
  • The coach has certain expectations for his staff and if he can't meet them then the AD feels like he will back out. This seems to be a major concern.
  • BOT member said there is one issue regarding his contract but wouldn't go into detail and I didn't push. They made it seem like it's a recent development in the past 1-2 days.
  • I asked and they said they think 2 assistants are being kept by the new coach.
  • If anything falls through with this coach then the AD will pursue Patterson.
  • They said Currie met with Patterson face to face recently and "it was positive".

Thanks for posting. This is interesting to say the least. Patterson is definitely a very good coach. So one has to wonder, if he is the backup, who its the #1 guy? There cannot be that many coaches in CFB that would be above Patterson imo. The obvious one being Saban, Meyer and Dabo. But those guys are not being considered. Man this stuff is mind boggling.
