what's up. I seriously haven't read anything... what offer:salute:

Atlanta VOL posted that for veterans and parents of young kids he’d like to provide some tickets for the LSU game this weekend. I’m on mobile and can’t dig up the post right now. Can someone else?

I reached out to him but haven’t heard back. His email is probably getting blown up right now.

“I don’t post much, but when I do, it’s with 100% certainty and no bullsh*t. The football scoop article couldn’t have been more fake. Those guys don’t have a damn clue as to what they’re talking about. I know Dale Jones through a relative of mine. He told this said relative that the article was BS. He also said that Gruden definitely wants the job, without question, and that he was indeed contacted by him directly and regarding the LB coach position.

Dale also made sure to note, and this goes for everyone out there (Gruden believers and non-believers), unless ESPN or any of the major networks goes live on air and says that Gruden is NOT taking the UT job, then all of us should believe NO ONE.

In conclusion, Gruden is still very much in play. I am in close connection with Dale and a very big booster here in Nashville. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned the fact that this booster had 0% confidence that Gruden would be our next coach. He is now in the 75% range on that.

Also, some news that just came in while typing all of this out: Jon Gruden is/has been on campus today. That’s not smoke. It’s the truth.

How many more time are you gonna say that Old Mother?

Maybe it's already done. Maybe they have a perfect time set to announce it and they don't GAF about your opinion of when that is.

I lost it. :lolabove:

I’m calling bs on Football Scoop’s reports for two reasons:

1. TIMING: If Gruden has “no interest” in UT, we will hear nothing about it until classes end on December 5th. No dad would subject a son to such immediate ridicule.
2. SOURCES: The article sites “multiple coaches” as sources. In this context, coaches make for reliable sources only if they have been contacted by Gruden to join his staff. Otherwise, they are merely speculating like the rest of us.

Ok boys, I’m off to my seven year old’s Veterans Day music program at her school. She has a speaking part where she thanks my Dad for his service in the Air Force during Vietnam. I’m so excited to see this.

Keep the faith, Grudenites. I’ll check back in later.

:good!: to your daughter and tip of the cap to your Dad. His service is much appreciated!

There are so many levels to this, it's kinda amazing.

It's kinda like a pyramid-shaped fish tank, where the fish live in different strata and can't easily move higher or lower.

At the bottom of the pyramid, the biggest group is us. We're just swimming around, scrutinizing all the bits that filter all the way to the bottom. Those bits have been through so many layers already that they're hardly recognizable as information.

One level above us are the dimestore bloggers and local radio/TV personalities, who have very little more access than us...but there are fewer of them and they all have some kind of loudspeaker. We pay attention to them because, well, they're one step closer to the info than us. That doesn't mean they're anywhere near close.

Above those fellas are the folks who actually start having some kind of insider access. Not strong access, maybe just one or two "sources" they can absolutely trust (whether a family member, or a paid informant, or anything in between), but at least they're getting something that can be taken to the bank. It could absolutely be wrong, but only because of all the layers still above them.

Next up are the lowest-tier of actual players. These are folks who work somewhere in the Athletic offices at UT, or are low-grade boosters (high enough to get in on some of the meetings, but not the big ones), or the like.

Above them are the Big Fish. The billionaire boosters who are engaged, the inner circle of the AD's 4th floor, the university lawyers helping work the deal. And these folks really believe they know exactly what's going on. But even they can be surprised, because...

...at the end of the day it comes down to John Currie and Jon Gruden (or another coach). Anything can change at any moment, a 'no' can turn into a 'yes,' and everyone in all those lower tiers of the pyramid can be utterly shocked. Even those just one level down.

So don't let the highs get you too high, or the lows get you too low, what we're seeing way down here at the bottom is just a reflection of a glint of a flash of an interrupted look at the real light.

Go Vols!
well sh!t, don't get any :rock:better than that

Well, sonny boy, maybe it is done.

It is reasonable to question why are they waiting. Maybe there is a good answer, but it reasonable to question.

I surely hope that they are not determing their actions based on mine, yours, or anyone else's, on this forum, opinion.

Now, be a good boy for Momma and quite your whining, it makes you look like a sissy.

Dude, you've made your point several times. We get it.

I'll whine, Bish, moan, yell and crawl through your screen and thump your noes. Lol.

Great idea. Maybe I could take some fellow Grudenites to Burnt Pine Plantation for some quail hunting. Great hunting, awesome dogs, amazing food and they also have overnight accommodations complete with a full bar/cigars.

I could get into that. I ride behind the dogs at Ames every year, but it's been a long time since I shot birds over a good pointer.

That doesn't make any sense. He would pretend to have interest until December 5th? That would be a dick move.
