Benjamin Albright is saying he specifically has spoken to Gruden and said he won’t be at Tennessee, for what it’s worth.

No...recruiting is not my scene. I just know that is a big day for visits.

So, if I'm going to draw conclusions here from your posts (which I realize, I probably shouldn't do:))

- We should relax, enjoy the process and let life come to us (translation: it's Gruden, happily wait for it)
- It's not this or next Thursday
- The Vandy visit weekend is still on

This might lead me to conclude that the announcement isn't this Thursday, but it might be logical to conclude it will be prior to the big visit weekend of the Vandy game.

This would ironically mesh well with what Currie told the Martinez family.

From 2012 - Scoop Brothers: Inside feud between Football Scoop, Coaching Search - CBSSports.com

"The sites are owned and operated by two brothers from New Orleans, who each grew up as teammates and pals with the Manning boys. Scott Roussel, 37, runs Football Scoop. He played at Newman High with Peyton Manning. His little brother Pete, the 32-year-old who runs Coaching Search, was Eli Manning's receiver at Newman years later."

I think highly of Cut as an offensive mind, qb developer, and overall solid person... But, you do not invest $340M in renovations for a Cut and Tee Martin package deal.

This is where I'm at with things...

You don't spend $340,000,000 on stadium reno and $13,000,000 to buyout Butch and Co. to make a BS trash hire. I'm sorry, but PJ Fleck isn't worthy of all mentioned above. Not saying Gruden is the only option that justifies all of that, just saying it better be a big hire.

Hear me out.

Let's say Gruden leaves us at the altar a la 2012. For whatever reason, he just decides to retire and kick it in the foothills of Appalachia and spend his days in the woods on peyote spiritual trips.

Currie gets the call with the final no and just laughs and wishes him well. Chip Kelly is almost ready to sign with Florida and Curie has always had him as his number 2. He calls Chip mid-flight on his way to Gainesville and Chip changes destinations on the spot, lands in Knoxville, and signs that day.

I think I'd almost enjoy this ridiculous scenario more than just straight Gruden. Well, really just any situation where we land Florida's top pick if Gruden backs out.

Almost...just almost.

You really think Gruden left us at the altar in 12? Wow!

Okay..who on VN just listened to Fox Sports Knox and took all their Gruden talking points, made them like they were yours and called Jimmy Hyams?? Fess up..

I have been compiling this list of potential candiddates for a month now. What are you pluses and minuses of each:
J Gruden
C Kelly
B Patrino
M Gundy
C Strong
J Fuente
B Venables
M Bobo
M Leach
J Brohm
S Frost
J Fisher
D Cutcliffe
PJ Fleck
D Mullin
P Narduzzi
M Campbell
B Hoke

I'd take Gundy or Fuente

But we're on the Grude Train

And Currie crossed Petrino off the list Sunday
