This is not the first contract for any of these parties. As you laid out, there are not many things to negotiate. This should have been done already in a matter of a few days.

A lot of you guys saying JG needs to make up his mind...what if he has already and there is a reason that it can’t be announced until a certain time? Or what if he has and his decision was no, the AD is not going to make any announcement until he has made a hire, whoever it ends up being, and why would JG make any announcement? Those guys are not sitting on pins and needles like we are, They will go on about their business and once s hire is made, we would be told there were some discussions but an official offer was never made or some bs like that. My opinion is it is done and either at the appointed time JG will be announced as our new HFC, or Currie got his answer and is working his tail off to get the next best. Hopefully JG is on the hook and when the time is right, the announcement will be made. We just fired BJ 2 days ago, and the fact is he was offered the chance to stay through the last game, so that tells me the plan was never to announce anything before the season was done, even if JG is the man.

I can confirm that this person has never had to sit in or been apart of large multi million dollar contract negotiations.

Someone fill me in on what I missed? I saw the thing about "Gruden has no interest" but I mean, what is he supposed to say? When has a potential coach at a major university ever said, before being announced by the university, that he would be the next coach? No one does that, so I wouldn't place a whole lot of value in stories about Gruden not coming right at this moment in time.
