That footballscoop article mentions Currie considering Cutcliffe. That's all I need to hear.

Cutcliffe has been a LOT closer to being the HC at TN than Gruden ever will. Cutcliffe was hired but TN was too cheap to pay for his staff. Cutcliffe is the main stay for the best days of UT football.

UT was great with him, and did well when he was hired again by Fulmer. Coincidence? Nope, Cut can coach.

That's really bizarre.

Sounds like swain is playing both sides. Trying to get more listener's for his pod cast. He'll probably say something different later like he always does

I get that but I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw his weird @$$.He gets way too much credit when it comes to him being an elite coach. He just isn't one in my opinion. He was only a HC 4 years at Oregon and left Oregon in a mess when he left. We now see why he was in a hurry to get out of Oregon. His small body of work and success was based on what Mike Belotti helped build. Chip wasn't there long enough to see what he could do with recruiting classes he signed. I'm not saying he couldn't be one of the best coach's or elite but the body of work is very limited. Hell 4 of his losses were OOC to Boise,LSU,Auburn and Ohio St. So he had his chance to coach against the big boys and lost most of them. And I'm not sure how well he could recruit the south. He's not very personable and he's like Mike Leach.. weird as hell.

not disagreeing with anything you said there, just was stating my opinion on the NCAA thing held over his head and SEC commish not even caring about it...I think its over rated, just the point about folks scared to hire him for NCAA reasons...plenty of other reasons to stay away for sure

I'm sure it's been posted several times before but who is his other 2 college jobs he would consider? I'm guessing one is Ohio State??

Cut is 63 years old and currently sucking it up at Duke (4-6, 1-5 in the conference). On second thought, we probably WILL go after him.

SEC Country reporting Gruden has no interest in the job and reports of him reaching out to assistants aren't true. Could be BS. Don't shoot the messenger.

I didnt see your next post about only keeping up with UT. I lacked eye discipline. Lol

I hope whoever they hire, they get a proven D coach. A superstar, not Sal Sunseri(sp?) part 2.

Sorry again, my mouth is the only smart part i own.

I have an odd name (no connection to Gruden that I'm aware of) that might make an interesting DC.

Bo Pelini.

Thoughts?
