Was not me that said that.

I will say with somewhat disbelief that I am starting to think this could actually happen!

Hey carter, as you should. You took it on the chin pretty hard last time so it’s understandable. Another thing. I know you and EA are close friends and when people bang on him, it bothers you. Don’t let it. You know him personally and none of us do. I don’t agree with him at all regarding butch or Gruden and that’s my right. I also think we can “attack” his stance without attacking him. You’re good people man. Don’t let it get you down. EA has overcome a lot and I applaud him for that. Now those 2 picks against LSU, unforgivable... lol. Jk... sord of. 👊😉

Dish had the option of a buildout path with an interim milestone (40% coverage) in March 2017 and a final milestone (70% coverage) in March 2021. They missed the interim milestone, so they have no choice but to go with their other option: an accelerated final milestone of March 7, 2020.

It's interesting how changing deadlines can sometimes dramatically alter the payoff matrix.

I've been reading more this morning to catch up. Sounds like their plan is to field NB-IOT (narrowband internet of things) network initially. Think connected meters, alarms, cars, refrigerators, what have you. Basically devices with reduced instruction sets and low throughput requirements. Greatly simplifies network complexity and cost. Sounds like a placeholder network until they can get a full up streaming (wireless Sling?) network in place. Found it interesting that Ergen also mentioned starting with a clean sheet of paper. Legacy carriers are constrained by their existing networks which grew out of the need to support voice calls. Not having that history allows Dish to architect their core network in a different manner if they so choose. Ergen also mentioned that he thinks the next $500B company will come in the field of wireless connectivity. Even focusing on a simpler NB-IOT network, Dish is still going to need a ton of capital to build out its network in the next few years.

So someone (we assume a booster) sent MIT to inflate fan expectations by telling us a deal was done. Thus putting pressure on the AD to make it happen, because now the fans know about the deal. If it doesn't get done, we will assume the AD screwed it up.

The only question is... Did this deal actually exist? Or was it made up just to raise our expectations? If the deal actually exists, then this was a brilliant strategy. The people involved with the deal can't come out and say it themselves, so they use an agent (MIT) to anonymously get the information out there... So now, not only is there a deal, but the fans know about it. That backs the AD into a corner, which lines up with how MIT described the situation. It would also explain how MIT knows so much. He would be getting the information directly from the source.

Crazy to think a coaching search might involve such conspiratorial political maneuvering, but this has a ring of truth to it. I could believe it. Great detective work, guys!

This all day....having to fire Jones early has altered original timelines for all parties involved. What was likely to happen after the season ended is now in the adjustment phase to reset a new date sooner than expected.
