Few thoughts:

(1) Strategic Goal: land Gruden. Before 30 November, to give him time to work the 2018 signing class while while before the 20 December early signing date.

(2) Tactical Goal #1: win the Vandy game. an LSU "W" unlikely, but we have to avoid leaving Ohio State alone in the "never lost 8 games in a season" club. That means a Vandy "W" is imperative.

(3) We're likely seeing the last two weeks of Hoke, Shoop, Scott, Canales, and all the rest. New HMFIC could retain one or more, but most if not all are likely gone. They are all scrambling for jobs, so will be distracted. But also have to earn their pay in the interim. Fingers crossed they can reach Tactical Goal #1.

(4) Tactical Goal #2: salvage and retain what we can of (a) current roster and (b) 2018 signing class. Really dependent on the Strategic Goal, but Currie & crew can do some interim things to help. The "big, expensive and explosive" leak helps a little; need more meaty things than that. Must continue to meet with current roster, keep them engaged through search.

(5) Butch's legacy: false hope. Thought we were out of Dark Ages; proved to be not so much.

(6) Gruden. Soon.
