Yeah I agree, when I first saw this pop up, I thought it wasn't true. Then I saw it was the Orlando Sentinel reporting on a home town kid...gave it a little more credence in my mind. That being said, the reason I thought it was untrue is because that's just dirty...I'm sure there's a lot of wrangling going on when a coach is leaving for somewhere else, but it appears Butch doesn't have any clue where he's heading next. But wouldn't urging a recruit to look elsewhere be something that could get him in hot water concerning his buyout? I mean this seems completely verboten.

I still don't see them paying him $7m for a buyout, along with his salary (which I'm assuming would be at least $5m to $6m).

Obviously John Currie is not going to be announcing a new coach today. That would be completely ridiculous I have not been paying as close attention to this thread because it was causing me blood pressure problems. If he does have someone already in place he would never come out and announce the new hire on the same day that he announced the firing of the previous coach. The “search“ has to go on for a period of time to give the appearance that people were interviewed and that he did his due diligence on finding the best candidate. I am guessing one week.
