If that is the case and the guy I was speaking to just had it wrong then I agree. But he did verify the Haslam plane rumor.

I am waiting for more information. He says that he has heard after Vandy. That is also when he told me about Haslam jet. Which I had already heard on here.

Coaches themselves can't recruit until they've passed an NCAA test regarding the rules in recruiting. There is zero chance of this happening without it getting out.

I think we have a chance to land Gruden which is a lot more than I've thought in the past. He has the offer, he has everything he could want if he takes the job. I'm just not sure he takes it.

I will say I think this is the most unified I've seen the power players at Tennessee be in a long time. Instead of one guy Haslam calling the shots there seems to be a consensus right now. Gruden, Mullen, Patterson, Frost, one of those guys I think will be the next coach.

I'm wondering if that is a load of crap too- not against you at all and others have alluded to it too, but good grief if we really have Gruden then why the hell not shout it to the rooftops! We are losing recruits by the minute and from the way we played last night, we sure need them!

Are you like 12 years old? At one point, Tennessee gear was one of the top selling nationally. Oh how far the Vols have fallin.

The fact we're selling at all proves there are thousands of loyal fans dying to win again.

Hubbs saying there is a 0-10% chance of Gruden coming concerns me greatly. He could throw water on the flames if he was trying to be the mouthpiece of the AD without quantifying the chances of Gruden coming so incredibly low

with all the blow up over the last week he's doing damage control good or bad

Why does everybody think UT is supposed to be some powerhouse? Nobody cares about UT football west of Knoxville. Here in Nashville, it's Titans country, and there are about as many Bama fans here as Vols fans. UT football is an east Tennessee thing.

That's such BS.

Did a test about a year ago...drove from my home in Lebanon to downtown Nashville and back, mostly on I-40 but on Hwy 109 at the Lebanon end, and downtown streets in Nashville as well.

The whole way, counted car decals, vanity plates, anything that gave an indication of team loyalty.

The Vols won that count by a score of something like 30 to 2 to 1 to 1 to 1 to 1. The 2s and 1s were Vandy, Kentucky, Bama, Georgia, Florida, etc. Even the Titans only got a few hits.

Nashville is a Volunteers town. No doubt about it.

And, as a co-axiom, the Vols are not a Knoxville or East Tennessee team...they are Tennessee's college team. Period.

Yeah they did. Some dumb ass just posted screen shots of "his buddy who hangs with Thunder"

I'm not coming back to this thread until butch is fired. Too much bullsh*t.

If you read what I said I questioned him on it and he did the same. Just passing along information. At least I have the stones to post the actual screenshots. And there are a few on here that told me to modify the pictures i posted because I showed the names as well on the original posts a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldn't say zero, because it's Jon Gruden and he certainly lives for the attention and coming to UT would fit that bill. But, that being said its not very likely he's coming to coach the Vols.
