At this point I can't really blame you.
I kind of feel like this is the direction I am headed.

Yesterday I refused to believe that Butch would be fired after the game.....but certainty believe he should be..

If he is not then I am ready to close up shop until I hear, read or see something that is solid about Gruden... There is nothing in the actions of our AD that (at this time) points to that

Sorry man but the beaten wife syndrome is over for me as well

You just lost to Missouri by 33 points. You're definitely not going to beat a top 25 team in LSU. No bowl, what's the hold up?

No, it’s “back to” because we were there for 4 hours before the game. I️ bet some people in here believe 9/11 was a conspiracy too.

You could post a screenshot of your hotel receipt to show you were there.

Did you go into the stadium or just tailgate?

Go Vols!

IF Gruden was onboard (as some would have us believe) there would be zero reason to keep him after last nights record loss.

The only reason I could see to keep him past today is if we are talking with a coach who is presently coaching and we are buying time until he finishes his year out

JMHO

Mullen or Taggart IMO

As I was told: it can't get any worse so there's no advantage to fire him

Whoever is telling you that obviously doesn't understand what "getting worse" means because it is getting worse. Regardless of who the next hire is (including Gruden), we are getting to the point of diminishing returns.

I’m not part of the witch hunt here just trying to give you clarity on why they are coming at you. Things can be fluid right? Then why use the phrase “100% Butch is done tomorrow?” When you make absolute statements and follow them up later that night or the next morning with something changed, then the BS meter goes off in all of our minds.

Again, not trying to add to the witch hunt. Whether or not you actually know anything, keep posting. If people don’t want to beleive it they won’t, if they do they will. :hi:

Thanks, I haven't gotten to that page in my effort to catch up, yet.

But not buying it. When someone says, "Just got back to the hotel," they're talking about the one they're staying at. It's "back to" because they were there the night before, or when they checked in. And it's "the hotel," rather than "a party at a hotel."

People use phrases that give information even without thinking about it. He said:

That's not how you'd say it if you left the game and were now at a party at some other hotel.

But appreciate you letting me know about his efforts at damage control. I'll keep an eye open for them.

Understandable. I take everything with a grade of slaw.

I briefly considered putting together a list of all the ways this is NOTHING like 2012. But then I realized I have other and better ways to spend my morning, and it wouldn't actually change anything for most people.

I don't begrudge your opinion on insiders and their sources. But try to have some consistency, and don't let yourself get dragged back and forth, it's not healthy. If that means sticking with your skepticism of insiders, fantastic. We can still celebrate together when the announcement comes. :)
Agree! I think because I followed along & believed Gruden was coming in 2012 it's easy for me to believe now. In hindsight (near the end of this process & understanding more about UT Admin), the differences between 2012 & 2017 directly reflect why I think it's much more plausible now. I even told my family that despite the heartache of the last few years, the stage is better now for Gruden (AA changes, overall economy (stadium renovations), CBJ repairing high school relationships, etc). I miss watching Peyton playing but I think his retirement has played a big part in getting this to the finish line.
