Good: LWS said on TOS that with SWAN MAN feeling good about Gruden and him receiving a text that he's now up to 7.5% from 5%. He's always maintained his stance that he doesn't think Gruden wants to coach in college and that's why he keeps the percentage low.

Bad: We just got drubbed my Mizzou. DTO said there's a snag and he's hearing Gruden is meeting with the Bucs this week.

I saw a skeeter mentioned what did he say and why was it significant?

I sincerely hope Skeeter is incorrect in what information he's heard. Because if it is Mullen, that's going to alienate a decent portion of the fan base. Because he is just not worth the money it's going to take to get him out of Starkville. He's already making $4.5 mil a year. You think he's going to jump for less than $5 mil or more?

He won't because he's getting good money to post regular mediocre records with low expectations.

Honestly, if Gruden, Kelly, Patterson and Peterson aren't available, go with the cheap hire and roll the dice with Frost or Norvell. I'd much rather save $3 million or more on a salary and take a chance at an up and coming G5 coach rather than a P5 coach that just doesn't have a record worth crowing about. And before someone claims that's what we did with Jones, he was never mentioned in the same manner as Frost or Norvell.

I wouldn’t mind Mullen at all. However, I can see the UT administration getting worked by Mullen and Florida. I’d say Mullen is number 1 on Florida’s list, regardless of what is reported. I can see the UT admin flirting with Mullen and Mullen flirting back, just to end up at Florida. That would, of course, stall the timeline for UT. Here’s hoping we’re both wrong and Currie is playing us all.

Oh yeah. Said that Currie wants to keep Butch and is at odds with the boosters over it and also that he hasn't even heard Gruden's name mentioned as a possibility. Several have said that he has no connections to the AD anymore and has admitted that himself. So TIFWIW.

I said that the other day the kids where being out of control and I said at least you can't be mad at me cause I'm just not talking and she said that's the most annoying part. Can't win for losing?

I really haven't put much stock in what a few have said in here anyways. I suspect that a couple are either full of crap or they are being truthful on what they're hearing, but it's bad info. I stick with the proven guys like AV, Matts, and LWS. I take what the others are saying with a grain of salt.

The good think about my cousins house is I got a ton more live music! Like last night and when knuckle came in saying all the pot needles and yoga needed to get out. Got a lot more music to download. So if anyone needs anything please let me know.

I didnt neither. I would love to have Gruden but I dont have enough faith in UT to do anything right. I really think that UT has to get it right this time. Another Butch type hire just might backfire on them. They need people in the seats more than people needs them. They could not give season tickets away this year. Me and my wife was getting calls from UT 2 times a week trying to get us to renew our tickets all the way up to Thursday of the 1st home game.

Yep. Especially with the $340 million stadium upgrades coming. If they don't get this hire right, that's gonna be a lot of wasted money. They're probably going to lose money. It could seriously throw this program into a tailspin for decades. Getting this hire right is an absolute must.
