Damn, some of you bring back memories of ex-girlfriends and former bosses...no need for knee-jerk reactions based off of emotions. Let it play out...those that said Butch would be gone tomorrow will be outed if in fact he is not. As for Gruden, let that play out also. If it is legit and he wants to be here, it will happen. It has been said, "Momma has to be happy"...I think this cannot be stressed enough...look at the Saban deal..."Momma" told him to come home to listen to the offer, and we all know how that worked out...so, I am willing to ride it out based on hope for now.

From what i 100% know, UT has made the required monetary offer and have also done some admin changes that where required too.

Everything that Jon needed to make it happen, has happened. Currie has cut off a lot of info so the info that comes is spotty and incomplete.

The overall coaching experience may be easier in the NFL... but WINNING in the NFL is a lot harder. Which is why dominant college coaches like Saban go to the NFL and fail.

Let me give you an example.

In the course of my business, I deal with a county agency. I request a document that was created in the course of official business, by agency attorneys. It falls under the legal definition of a "public record."

However, I get back a written denial of my request, which is permissible under the public records statute. The ground for the denial is that the requested document constitutes "privileged attorney-client information, as well as attorney work-product."

I can choose to file suit to have a court rule on it if I wish, but realistically, I'm never going to see that document, that was prepared by a public institution, on behalf of public officials, and in the course of public business.

See how that works?

I half agree but think we will hire a coach that can win championships whether it's Gruden or not. I choose to have faith.

:eek:lol: This is just flat out ridiculous. Do you honestly think this man has not had any opportunities to coach in the NFL in the last 10 years? Coaching in the NFL versus coaching in college comes down to a lifestyle choice. One is not inherently better than the other. They are just different.

Why are people so worried about who coaches out the season. Butch, Stripling, Hoke...I don't think it really matters. We are God awful. Just chill and let it play out.

Didn't Gruden "let the right people know" that he wants the UT job? Why would he care about Tampa Bay if that were true?

Cause Currie doesent want to admit he fkn failed. He's gonna ride this train for another 2 wks and we'll be stuck with Brohm or Fleck

I would hope a deal like this is printed on paper, signed in ink, and is sitting securely in the briefcases of the concerned parties and their representatives. I’m not particularly worried about it not being found in the UT computer network.

How can you be 100% confident in Gruden coming to UT then all the sudden be skeptical because he’s supposingly visiting Tampa?

Either you don’t know for sure or you’re just full of sh*t.

The only way any of us will know for sure is when Currie actually announces it during the press conference.

Right now, I have no clue what to believe anymore so yea, I can see us getting our hopes up again for nothing.

Similar to 2012.

Listen people I would love to believe but proof or a straight statement from the insiders here ain’t happening. It’s a half ass catfish job. We may get Gruden but billy bob from bucksnort insider on volnation will find out when you and I do.

I've already stated that my avatar is just a silly play on the silly people that think Ergen is spearheading the effort to hire Gruden, and are thus changing their sigs and avatars as such.

I'll change it eventually when all this nonsense blows over. Or whenever I stop being too lazy to change it. Whichever comes first.
