Remember the other day when Larry confirmed Gruden was in East Tennessee?

Why would Gruden be in East TN and not at the UT game as rumored?

Just sayin. That’s some serious smoke.

Count me among those who think he and his wife want to have a house in Knoxville to be near family and their son.

When I think Mullen I think Mullen and the best staff money can buy.

I’m convinced that if we can’t get Gruden (low likelihood we do) we are going to give our next head coach a massive budget for assistants.

I think any shortcomings Mullen may have as a recruiter can be made up for by his staff. And he can sell his success with QBs.

He would likely bring most of his staff from MSU. I guess paying them more would make them better?

Lol there is no shift. Butch jones had a top 5 class before he sucked this year. Don't listen to someone calling us Vandy because his son didn't get offered to play RB here. butthurt leads to exaggeration

This. We are still Tennessee. At least for now. If we mess this hire up....

I know there are lots of questions swirling about Mullen or Taggart, but if we got either of those, I think we would be in good shape for the next 10 years. IMO

Getting either one of those guarantees that the national perception of Tennessee stays the same even if they fail( a dormant national brand). What worries me the most about any hire "worse" than that is a slide to Colorado level of obscurity if that coach then fails

Would rather have a “less glamorous” staff that my HC is familiar with and trusts to let them do their thing.

Ironically as time goes on it looks like the staff Butch brought from Cincinnati was the best he had throughout his time here

I had dream last night that we got him. Gruden agreed to be our coach. I was in the room with Currie and Fulmer, except Currie looked more like Ronald Reagan for some reason.

It was after a casual meet and greet and Gruden had been visiting and was part of it. I got a chance to chat with him and asked Gruden about coming here and he gave me a sneaky smile and said he would love that but wasn't sure what the future held.

A few minutes later Currie made the announcement. He said he just couldn't wait any longer. We were in the Tennessee locker room. He told us the deal was done and Gruden couldn't stop smiling. He said we're bringing this thing back. It was an emotional moment and everybody in the room was fighting back tears. There was only a few of us in the room including me and my wife.

Everybody eventually left the room and my wife and I did it on the trainers table because we were so excited.

Lol it was a pretty awesome dream. The kind that makes you disappointed when you wake up and realize it didn't happen.

Im choosing to see this as a sign though. I'm back in.

Go Vols.

I don’t get the man crush every one has on frost. Yes, he’s having success. He’s crushing against the spread.

Why do we think he can do that when you’re not playing with scrubs, your have elite athletes playing against elite athletes, against elite coaching week in and week out?

If you extrapolate the season he’s having this year onto where he ends up... duh.. he’s the ultimate success. But that’s not how it works.

Usually when coaches have moderate success at lower levels it translates to moderate success at higher levels. When coaches KILL it at lower levels it usually translates well to the next level. IE Urban Meyer.

Parents don’t follow their kids to college.

Not normally, no. But it's just another part to consider.

I think he wants to live in Knoxville because he's a damn hero here and his wife wants to live here because it's home to her and close to her family.

Does anyone know if diyalis is painful? I go at 9 for the cath then DI right after. Really scared. I'm only 24

Prayers for you, my friend.

My stepdad is going through it and he says the most painful part is the port procedure and healing. So of course, he isn't doing the Cath. He says the dialysis part isn't painful.
