I doubt any breaking news is going to happen at 10:34 (my time) so we are hanging out passing the time.

There's a certain style of strumming that fits gibson perfectly, but if you want any ability to play actual notes, theyre garbage.

They're very -- muddy.

Bought a J-45 for a friend of mine.

He hated it.

if youre playing acoustic, yes. Hard to find a gibson acoustic that doesnt sound like a bunch of shrivelled up rat intestines stretch tight across a cardboard box.

I have one that sounds good, but Taylor makes my favorite acoustic.

I've never played a Gibson acoustic that I've liked. Love my Les Paul though.

As a young man in middle school in 87 when A.F.D. came out.... well damn it was just wow. Even my Dad who only would listen to old school country heard my tape and said "what is that, it sounds good."

At the very LEAST, they gave the Pretty Boy Floyds, Bang Tangos, etc a swift kick in the backside. The LA scene had gone completely cookie cutter with style over substance, and GNR brought some badly needed edge. They were dangerous.
