Completely disagree.
Perception of Tennessee is really bad. As someone said, we are viewed as Vandy. A Tennessee offer does not carry the weight it once did. People who think that Tennessee recruits itself I think are missing out on the shift that has happened.
In the SEC, Tennessee is in the company of UK, Vandy, SC, Mizzou... with SC and Mizzou having MUCH more recent success to sell.

Nope. Tennessee was in worse shape in 2012 and an unknown coach from Cincinnati was able to sign highly ranked classes. A well known SEC coach with 10 years in the business and QB's like Tim Tebow and Dak Prescott on his resume will be fine.
I think the total disconnect here is you don't fully realize how tough the Mississippi State job is.
A ton of chatter on the Florida forums this afternoon and tonight that they will be hiring Chip Kelly. They made a run at Scott Frost but were unable to land him since he is waiting for the Nebraska job. They moved onto Chip Kelly and have an agreement in place. Obviously nothing signed yet. National media will start reporting this stuff this week or next week as word gets out.

I disagree with this entirely. Tennessee perception wise, although it's taken a hit over these last 10 years or so, is not seen as Vanderbilt. A Tennessee offer still packs a pretty good punch. Just look at how our last two coaches have recruited from a rankings standpoint. Derek freaking Dooley signed a top 10 class and two top 15 classes. Butch Jones signed two top 5's and a couple top 15's. Both garbage coaches in this league. While the Tennessee brand isn't what it has been, it can get back to that fairly quickly when we start winning again. Any college football fan who knows anything is aware of the history and tradition that the Tennesssee football program has.
Going to win 10 games for the second time in 3 years.
Last time we did.... Fulmer was our coach
I am going to go back to the well again...Butch would have won 10 if we hadn't played OU in 2015. Southern Miss, UAB, South Alabama, and UT Martin were on the MSU schedule in 2014. They also played UK and Vandy.
I know we are Tennessee, and it shouldn't matter. But I think for these comparisons, it does matter.
