Wreck some people? Some of y'all are so much drama
Other than JG,
Who does everyone think would have the most immediate impact on recruiting once announced?
Who do you think has the most relationships built up with SEC level talent?
Who do you think could quickly salvage this recruiting class the most?
Who do you think could pull the most surprises come signing day?
Even if you believe we're getting Gruden nothing makes sense about a Sunday announcement. If we lose Butch could very well be fired. An announcement of that makes sense.
Naming Gruden the replacement makes no sense until after the season. He wouldn't be able to legally recruit and he wouldn't be able to hire any staff. Also, the staff on campus would checkout completely with two games left.
After thinking about, you and GFW are probably right. It would wreck SOME people lol 😂I could see it happening. Have you not been to the Gruden thread and see how pissed people get when somebody says Gruden isn't coming. Some joke, but others are not. I can see mattresses burning because people are more bought in this time. The banner hanging in front of Neyland that said "Butch did 9/11" is enough for me to see.

Definitely.
Likely pretty high up there, in that top group. But I also think there are a few options in that top group that make more sense to him financially and from an operational stand point.
Guy like Gruden comes in and demands A LOT.
Gotta remember curries only been here a year and if you have a football coach coming in demanding full operational autonomy there will be some issues with that. And the risk, if say, I*t* doesnt work out with Gruden as a coach. Whether thats compliance, academic, or even on the field. And thats got to be weighing on his mind. Fact is, if Currie hires JG and I*t* doesnt work out, I*t* would be tough to overcome. Whereas, if he hires a Brohm, Taggart, etc. you get guys who are much less demanding as far as autonomy is concerned and NCAA compliance etc; & benefit of the doubt if things dont work out.
Gruden is asking for a lot of autonomy here and that to me is what i see as the biggest detractor in the mind of Currie IMO
Sorry for the fragmented post Im not able to sit down and type this one out
Don't know why the anti-Brohm stuff started. It's ridiculous. Played in the NFL 7 years. QB/OC for a lot of years leading up to the WKU HC job where he goes 30-10 in 3 seasons. Now trying to turn Purdue into something it hasn't been since Joe Tiller.
