JMO.

I don't know that there is one, and anything at this point couldn't be substantiated.

I think that is the more logical timeline.

I think he would finish the MNF season.

I can't see how Currie can hold out til late Dec? with an announcement. And or keep the lid on it that long. Especially with the early signing period. Unless it just can't be done another way.

If we let go of Butch after Vandy and are still ostensibly in a coaching search in late December, Knoxville wouldn't survive (though mattress merchants would be happy).

Ok, so everybody knows who this Trey Wallace guy is, right? Im not listening but apparently he is on the radio with Basillio. Heres cliff notes of some of the discussion.

Wallace "Jon Gruden has been on the Haslam plane to MNF to Knoxville and Haslam is using it to entice Jon Gruden to come to Tennessee and accept the offer"

"I trust the people I get this information from"

"Would not comment on a meeting last week with Gruden at Blackberry farms"

"Jon Gruden has met with Tennessee and discussed him coming here absolutely"

Basilio just asked if Wallace believed Gruden met with Athletics boosters at Blackberry farms this past weekend and Wallace said "No comment, I can't comment on that without giving too much"

Don’t worry guys, my brother in law works at Blackberry farms, I’m on it!

I think it’s announced shortly after Butch is gone. Clearly the folks running this seem to want Butch to finish the season and announce the new coach right after. But if we lose this weekend Butch might not make it another week. If that happens all bets are off on when his replacement is announced. My guess is if they have Gruden he’ll be announced very soon after Butch is done whether that’s tomorrow or after Vandy.

Never say never, but I don't see how UT wins tomorrow. That being said, the over/under on wins has been 5 since the UGA game. So a loss to Mizzou would put us at 4-6 with two to play. LSU's a loss, so it come down to Vandy as to whether or not we get to 5 wins.

In other words, does it really matter if Jones stays through the rest of the season or not? The only way I see him leaving is if he just up and resigns once it becomes apparent (tomorrow night) that 6 wins is not going to happen.

Just get the hire right. Season 121 is already in the crapper.

Go Vols.

Just relaying whats been said.

"I’m beginning to think some of you guys won’t believe Gruden is our coach even when he’s standing at the podium for the press conference. Believe, it’s happening!!!! #Soon

This is where my BVS kicks in, big time. I got on the train last time, primarily because of Baby Vol and his posts that were similar to this one. I just can't make myself get back on the train.....yet.

I know. Butch called me a few minutes ago and told me to go ahead and get on a plane for Columbia. I told him that while I'm an alum and might technically have eligibility, I'm 38, I've never played organized football, I haven't exercised in a month and I weigh only 210 pounds. He said yeah but did you watch Devante Brooks play last week? I said yeah. And he said then get on the plane.

I'm packing my bags right now.

I am sure that you are agile, mobile and hostile....GBO!!

Dude is the opposite of Hyams. He's going back in time to be the first to break stories.

He's actually well known in certain "exclusive" circles and he's very tied in to a number of university campuses. Some scientists credit him with breaking the news of the actual big bang event six weeks before anyone else had a clue it was even a possibility. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and one other person. You guessed it. His connections are unassailable.
