Would be pretty bummed out if it’s Mullen. Hasn’t won anything at Miss State. Would not win anything here. Yeah I know they were #1. Whoopdy doo. They finished 10-2 and it’s the only double digit season he’s had. He did it with a qb that’s starting for an NFL playoff team right now. The best he’s done is 2nd place in the division. He did that once. The next best finish he’s had is 4th. And it’s not like he has no talent at Miss State. He has top 20-30 classes. I’d rather have Kiffin.

If we had Manning as QB coach (I never, ever expect that to happen), he would have to recruit for about 3 minutes every year, or however it takes to make two phone calls.

I thought that was Petersen, but Hamilton has made so many bad decisions, they all run together.

We are all tired of the roller coaster with bad endings. We all have our opinions, but don't control what happens with hiring and firing coaches. Our hope is they hire a slam dunk - Gruden, Kelly, Patterson, Stoops, etc. But it is UT - there is history and it usually ends up with something really out of left field. Even Fulmer taking over from Majors was handled stupidly.

So let's not destroy each other while we wait for the dumpster fire to be put out. Turn the pressure toward who is responsible to get it right. They are the ones that take the money from us when we support the program.

Wish him well but if he ends up there, he doesn't need to ever come back to East Tennessee for employment after his playing days are over. Enjoy Atlanta.

Agree which is why Mays in every way is the most important recruit in this class. I know you don't hire a coach based on 1 recruit, but I hope Mays still likes the UT program enough to give the next coach a shot to flip him back to UT.

Hubbs said the uncertainty around the program is the biggest factor.
