not that they know anymore than the next person. I have a dear friend who is a staff reporter at the times. I'll ask her to reach out to the sports dept. And see what the feel is for gruden this go around.
These threads have made me a better person.
-Learned some legalese (MOU, BATNA, Esq. abbreviation)
-Picked up new recipes with Benton's bacon
-Gained a broader knowledge of good single-malt scotch
-Learned where some great golf courses are
-Restored my faith in humanity (strangers helping strangers find jobs, people kindly asking to curb use of the "R-word," people genuinely praying for people to beat cancer, high school friends reconnecting, dads playing Pokémon to connect with their kids)
-Gained a better appreciation for our military veterans
-Being honestly, genuinely excited and proud when Preacher got his first gif to work
-Looking for the best in posts and drive-bys, while being ready to accept the worst
-Knowing to keep politics and religion out of friendly discussions
-Learning how to plan out a school week with optimal desk work so Coach Z can "check his emails"
-Patience to wait till next Sunday. Then the next. And then the next. But all the while, having the faith that it's gonna happen.
-Appreciating the aesthetic qualities of Daniela, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, and the girl getting knocked over by the wave
-Remembering that no matter where we all are in the world, how old we are, how long we've rooted for the Vols, that we're a Big Orange Family.
-Soon.
No matter what happens after Vandy, VolNation....you make me wanna be a better man.
My wife is an Ole Miss grad and is beyond annoyed by my refreshing these threads. She doesn't do message boards and simply doesn't understand. In fact she believes it is more likely I have a girlfriend (which is actually flattering considering what I look at in the mirror each morning).
Enough background; last night she said, "Why can't you be more like an Ole Miss fan and wait and accept whatever happens?" I replied, "You shut your wore mouth and GTFO." I'm hoping the judge is a Vol.
Didn't hargis tweet something like, "if Jon Gruden personally told me face to face that he was going to be the next coach at Tennessee there's no way I would report it this time"? Hahaha
should be required that all newbies that want to board the train should go back to the 2012 threads and catch up before posting....just my opinion....i don't post much but have been here for the long haul.....ALL IN FOR GRUDEN1
I know! Don't shoot the messenger - just sharing what was posted. I still think Gruden could be announced - I don't know the ins & outs of NCAA rules on him continuing on MNF and being named next head coach (not to mention recruiting). I know some have referenced Urban Meyers' return to OSU from TV booth...

False alarm, she is an ole classmate of mine 37 years ago.. Small World!
On a serious note for my military brothers and sisters out there. Although tomorrow is Veterans day and honors the service we committed too, please remember others struggling brothers and sisters that face far more obstacles than normal and help direct them to safety.
Veterans Crisis Hotline is 800-273-8255
22 vets a day commit suicide, so terribly sad..
Have a blessed day all...
Go Vols, Go Gruden!
No he wasnt a rep for a shoe company. It was speculated as most things are here however it was debunked by a friend of his. He was at UT however was more associated with softball and media. The media thing is correct as he explained to us Baseball guys the inter-workings of streaming games via the ESPN app and other details the average joe wouldnt know.
Ha ha. I haven't seen anything about the those contracts but if he can't get out of them he can't be the next UT coach even if he wants to. It's a violation of state law for a state employee to have their own endorsements. That's no small detail either.
