I think Gruden can do way better.

Whats so wrong with Chavis? Fulmer won his title, and was a great coach for these reason IMO
1.He let his coaches coach (Cutcliff, Chavis)
2. Personality to bring the recruits, and i mean damn good mother ****in recruits
3. Personality to give the whoo rah speach to win the big game
4. He could bull **** with the best of the boosters and who ever the hell else to win them over.

I put a little extra away for a few months and took my daughter to a game last year. Showed her Neyland's statue and explained The Maxim's. Explained who he was and why we celebrate him all these years later. She had a great time and loved the atmosphere but I remember feeling something was missing.

I can't wait to take her again when we have resurrected this program. I think I will start saving now and hopefully get her some seats in the lower bowl to sample the real Neyland experience. Hopefully I can pass this proud Volunteer tradition to a third generation!

Go Vols!

I've known John Chavis for 15 years. My best friend's dad is really close with him. If he was coming back I would've heard that immediately. I'll ask specifically tomorrow but I doubt it.

Oh my. I graduated in 1982. The Franklins lived across the street from my grandparents.

Coach Haddock was my homeroom teacher. Small world!

Holy cow! I bet we know each other! Across the street from Mr. Franklin lived a girl that was my high school sweetheart. Her initials were MAR... We're talking Mission Oaks, right?

We have had 3rd and Chavis before. Him as our DC wouldn't excite me. Rather keep Shoop.

JG has to hit grand slams with his position coaches to pull him along coaching college. Alot more to it than just practicing and playing.

Not enough, IMO. I was like, whoa. What’s he got to do with this? Surely it’s not just random calling him out, right?

That's why I was so confused. He doesn't just do these things for fun IMO. There is usually a motive.....
