I know I’m late to comment on this but went to Disco Kroger many a time for munchies back in the day... used to dance on the speakers... can remember when they had tigers below the glass dance floor.... Broke down once on the way home from work at the corner of Ponce right down from the Fox Theater... had to wait for a tow truck with some VERY interesting “ladies.”

There is a Fellini Kroger in North Knoxville, I believe.

Just want to throw this out there, if any of your friends or family are giving you heck about Gruden, tell them to pipe down because The Vols are going to stick a banana in their turkey hole.

"Look man... I ain't falling for no banana in the
Tailpipe trick!"

There's a guy that a real big time celebrity, his initials are M.R he is very close to some big boosters. And if he gets info then I mark it down. Just remember I said some serious stuff went down last night! Don't ask me for his name because I will NOT give it out.

I'm calling BS. WTF does Mister Rogers have to do with Gruden?

What real smoke? Not trying to be a jerk but I check this thread maybe once a day and I haven't seen ANY real information it's just all people chatting and saying whether they think Gruden will come or not. I did see one article some NFL guy said Tennessee had offered 10 million but that's it

Same here, must have missed something... I’ve been through the days post but not seeing anything but rumors and hope for sure... anything super solid I missed?

Do y’all think if we hire Gruden before Vandy we can still make they playoff? It’s the 4 best teams right?

Wouldn't that be awesome?

CFP Committee Chair Kirby Hocutt said:
"And in the fourth and final position of the playoffs, the 5 and 7 Tennessee Volunteers.

"The Committee acknowledges the Vols' losing record and wish-washy strength of schedule this season, but the November 26th shift from Butch Jones to Jon Gruden as head coach, and Gruden's parachuting into Knoxville at dawn the following morning with his entire coaching staff intact, got our attention.

"Having visited Knoxville to see for ourselves what the deal is, we can honestly say, the Volunteers are already one of the four best teams in the nation, hands down.

"Dilly, dilly."

So, the majority here want a coach that won a Super Bowl in his first year. Hmm, wonder who signed all that talent on the Bucs team that year? What was his record the following year? He’s got a paltry 54% winning percentage, hasn’t coached any team in 10 years and UT fans are estastic about the possibilities of him coming here. Gruden develops already great QB’s, not mediocre. It would take him 3 years to have a top QB playing in his system.

Just looking at the bigger picture that is all.

So if Gruden were to be announced on sunday, how would this work out? Pick up coaching duties next season or what?
