If this is true, there was no power struggle between Haslam and Ergen or Haslam wants him for the Browns.

Isn't it considered unethical to contact a potential assistant in season about a job offer ? T. Martin is under contract at USC. I'm not saying/asking if it's illegal and maybe it happens frequently but it may be percieved as a distraction by the head coach and athletic dept. I know in the NFL you have to ask permission to talk to some assistants while the season is ongoing. Just asking.
