Does anyone on this board know the answer to this question with 100% certainty? Highly doubtful. From what I have been told, and from what others have said, there seems to be confidence that there is some sort of agreement. Whether that's an MOU, a verbal agreement, or something else, we will probably never know.

Obviously nothing is a done deal until it's announced and he's standing at the press conference, but I feel confident he'll be the next coach at UT. Would I stake my reputation on it? No. Would I put money on it? No. But that's just my personality.

It's all about waiting for the timing now.

Some people might want to slow down on the Haslam bashing. Remember Haynesworth's last round of tweets. He was praising him. Not saying we should hold on to every word Haynesworth says but you have to take bits and pieces of this stuff and watch how things are unfolding. If Trey Wallace's info is true there are going to be a lot of folks out there taking back what they said. Would love to hear how Basilio reacts.

Tifwiw Listening to Dan Reaves and Seabass here in Jackson and Dan said he got an email from Warner Agee that said Jon Gruden will be the next coach at Tennessee and to look for it to start leaking out Sunday. I know most of us already know this but it seems that word is starting to get out. Warner also said this comes from a source that he trusts very much.

To me that’s such a load of crap if that’s our local media’s excuse. People call in to Jimmy in the afternoon, heather in the morning, and Ainge and Brian at almost mid day, and they ask about Gruden. All they get in return is to made feel like they’re stupid for asking, or they get almost insulted with their response. It’s ridiculous. When Gruden gets announced I hope people call in and give them an unfathamable amount of hell for treating callers like dogsh**

If ESPN supposedly have the say so it could be a lot of viewers watching and help keep them in spotlight. Probably an agreement between Gruden and ESPN. I doubt they would care for Knoxville media getting all the credit. They shouldn’t lie about but they should tell everyone they aren’t going to discuss coaching changes until end of season. I think they know Gruden got a good chance but not allowed to say per the University of Tennessee.

If I get a confirmation will let you asap. My sources haven't been able to confirm and info is slowing down, but I think that's a great sign, but I could be wrong. Time will tell, we will know much more on Nov. 27. Patience is a virtue.
