If it's true that Gruden has been using one of the largest boosters plane at his disposal for over a month then I don't see any plausible excuse as to why he's not our guy. As many connections and friendships that he has here there's no way he racks up $50000 dollars worth of plane rides at big Jims expense and say, "thanks, but no thanks." I don't even think Haslam is that dumb. You wouldn't let a guy continue to use your resources (expensive at that) at his disposal if there wasn't a pretty good chance you felt like you had a shot, or already had him.

So I asked Trey Wallace why local media isn’t giving Gruden to Tennessee any attention. He said “I’d imagine they’ve been down this road before.” I take that to mean they’re not willing to give it a chance in case they may be wrong yet again. Then he went on to say he’s just reporting what he’s been hearing.

To me that’s such a load of crap if that’s our local media’s excuse. People call in to Jimmy in the afternoon, heather in the morning, and Ainge and Brian at almost mid day, and they ask about Gruden. All they get in return is to made feel like they’re stupid for asking, or they get almost insulted with their response. It’s ridiculous. When Gruden gets announced I hope people call in and give them an unfathamable amount of hell for treating callers like dogsh**

I was told:

I don't have a date but it will be before the SEC championship game so not much longer. Don't give up hope. I have never been more sure that it is gonna happen.
