If you HAVE to pay a coach (JG) -10mil a year to be your coach I’m serious worried about his want to be here. Especially when the dog days of no football just recruiting come.

I would be surprised if he ends up in Knoxville, but I don't expect anyone to rule it out. Gruden isn't going to.

Again, my fundamental question remains the same does he want to coach football at any level?

- Hubbs

That doesn't really say "Everyone is all in on Gruden" on the booster side. That's what I was referencing.

Anyone here a gun enthusiast? Just ordered a handgun recommended to me online and should arrive at the Nashville Armory in a few days. Very excited.

Kimber tactical ultra for daily carry for me!
It can be an obsession, I really have to keep myself in check sometimes when it comes to buying guns! Lol

Any argument that has Nick Saban in it is thrown out. He’s the best CFB coach of all time.

I'm just giving you a hard time.

There's nothing about the salary demands that makes me think Gruden wouldn't be successful. Ultimately I think he doesn't want the job - and if that's the case he won't (and shouldn't) accept it.

Gruden, while a huge advocate for Tennessee football, is not a "Tennessee boy."

To suggest he should come be our savior and it won't require some salesmanship is preposterous.

Hypothetically, outside of Phil Fulmer, no VFL would coach for peanuts. Lol that's not a fat joke.

Having said that I don't think we can compare apples to oranges with regards to his salary. I know he makes more than Saban now but that's a different market. I don't think he deserves Saban money to be honest.

Agree with this statement as well. 10 mil for someone who hasn’t coached in YEARS and has turned down the job before.

I think he will be a ROCKSTAR on the recruiting trail but it just doesn’t feel like he really wants to coach college.

This arguement about money is off. His number one priority is his life and family. He owes it to himself and family to get every cent he can for his services.

I think that’s probably what his hesitation is. He seems like the kind of guy who is all Or nothing. If he does say yes I doubt there’s reason to worry though. Yes just had a high hurdle.

Anyone who believes that Tennessee is accelerating a multi-million dollar hire/fire because of one 18 year old offensive lineman has lost it.

The need for new information in these threads causes people to create fake information to satisfy the desire.

There's no longer much question Grumors is nothing more than an elaborate VolNation Ponzai Scheme. Although Freak is going to claim innocence due to his lack of direct involvement, it is still his platform.

Personally, I think we need to take a couple of steps and do so immediately.

First, the lawyers on this board need to pool their knowledge & resources and provide Freak some form of pro bono legal assistance, be it U2 Bono, Sonny Bono or any other bono that might prove to be effective. Secondly and perhaps more importantly, someone should reach out to Gruden and plead with him to take the job. If he's had no intention of taking the job and has been nothing more than an attention w&%$@ as some claim, he still owes it to Freak.

I, for one, do not want to see Freak go to jail.:)

That $5 million difference would be made up in apparel sales and other contributions within months. It would create so much excitement.

I also think the $10 million number might include incentives, which mean he was successful.

Pro bono? Please. Freak is raking it in right now.

Happy to see the responses from the gun gang. I'm saving over $100 ordering online. Walther PPQ M2 .45acp if anyone was wondering.

Spot on imo. I don’t have info but this is where we are I think.

I think it’s hard to deny that we’re going after Gruden. It’s exciting to think that our hire floor would be Dan Mullen or Willie Taggart, as the tea leaves and rumors say they’ve expressed interest.

Where is the Taggart talk emanating from? I know he was mentioned on FL's list. Is he a Sexton client? Why would he leave Oregon after only 1 year? I know his contract is peanuts. $2.9M I believe.
