People keep talking about Mullen hiring a good staff, but aren't his guys developing beyond potential right now?
There are some good coaches on his staff right now. Get a couple cruiters and go.
But none of this matters cause Gruden.
Can someone give me a rundown of some coaches that have worked for DM? Didn't he lose two defense coordinators?
This talk about his recruiting is crazy to me. He will recruit really well here especially if he hires a good staff which is nearly impossible at Miss State. Dan Mullen has been in this league for over a decade and knows what it takes.
CBJ recruited well here but we never got to see him reach his peak as a recruiter because he **** the bed on the field and never got to 10 wins like he should have.
People seem to believe that money is the silver bullet. Throw enough money at someone and he'll come running to somewhere he really doesn't want to be... or be persuaded to do something he really doesn't want to do. Sometimes, people are happy where they are doing what they're doing for the people they're already doing it for.
Money is neither the problem nor the solution. I think we'll hire someone who wants to coach college football at the University of Tennessee. And some of those names at the top of some of those lists don't want to do one or both of those things.
I believe Diaz had two stints and left for Texas the first time. He also had Geoff Collins at one point.
McBride was 1-8 passing and JG led us to the only semi-legit TD drive in the whole game. I think you're crazy.
Apparently except for his OL coach. If the rumors are to be believed, they're good friends and even though the OL had a tendency to underperform, he has continued to keep him around.
McBride was also the victim of a couple of dropped passes and near misses.
Frankly, watching Guarantano has been rough for me. He just doesn't seem to have a good feel for the position. He doesn't feel the rush coming, and when he does take off and run, he lacks vision and patience.
Based on an admittedly small sample size against a crappy team, McBride just looked like a more instinctual QB to me.
Hes just a freshman getting his first game experience. Hes improving with each game. His offensive doesnt help him at all eitherMcBride was also the victim of a couple of dropped passes and near misses.
