he was a beast of a recruiter ... that's why meyer was able to hit the ground running in UF.

but he's special teams coordinator at Green Bay ... just trying to see where he fits in.

If Basillo is saying this, and if Gruden heard it, I highly doubt he’d blow it up because some wanna be shock jock radio host is saying things about him. He’s been fired from the NFL. I’m pretty sure he’s had plenty said about him before...

Exactly. I feel like were getting Gruden. 100%. Why? I don't know. Maybe because the timing is right and everything is pointing to him returning to coaching. Also, I like to believe what the insiders are saying. Not because I believe them whole heartedly but it all kinda adds up and makes sense.

FYI long post incoming:

I had no idea before this coaching search how many people I knew from mutual friends or family friends. Now I’m from chattanooga, born and raised and becoming more active in the community as I’ve gotten older. There truly is a movement here in chattanooga of boosters that were once low level who are now moving to mid tier. I had no idea how much money was around here and many of them congregate at the Honors and local political gatherings and are involved in a multiple businesses as investors or board members.

1. Heard from another family friend today that Hullco who is close to fulmer is pushing for Gruden.
2. Barry large who sold a logistics company is valued anywhere from 50-100 million and he and his family bleed orange. I’ve now heard he’s pushing Gruden and is working with other boosters to make sure this deal doesn’t fall through.
3. My super close family friend who works with the Luptons said they are still pushing for Gruden and thinks it’s happening. Actually he doesn’t seem in the least bit worried which makes me even more confident.

All 3 of these people know one other and that’s no coincidence. Two of these men know Peyton and have even golfed with him at the honors a time or two.

I’m not an insider but I’ve been investigating and reaching out to friends and getting anyone to talk that’s willing and if not I keep trying. Luckily several of these convos over the last few weeks have been run ins so it’s more difficult to lie or ignore someone when it’s in person compared to the phone or texting.

With all that I’ve pieced together on top of what message board insiders are saying across the board I think all the information which has been a few weeks behind is now starting to come to light. (I believe one poster confirmed this before) I did ask one of my contacts about Gruden and if there was any truth about wanting to be respectful about a coach who is currently not fired. He responded that’s why there has been a lot of smoke bc Gruden does NOT want to be viewed or portrayed as a guy who’s trying to remove a sitting coach.

One told me the smart money placed bets weeks ago. That seems to be true as well. I wish I had listened a month ago. Anyways hope we can have a VN get together and celebrate once this is over!

No idea. We've got a lot of possible puzzle pieces, but no clear image in sight.

Wow... I went outside this thread for just a couple of minutes and I have to admit it was scary! I can't wait until Gruden is announced as the coach! It's going to be so fun watching these people eat crow!

I don't know how that would turn players off. Seems like they'd be putting Chucky posters up in anticipation of the change.
