If memory serves me right, Zook was a heck of a recruiter and the kids loved him. Perhaps he'd be a good resource for someone new to recruiting.

Tony B also reporting that CBJ is telling the players they are trying to hire Gruden underneath him while he’s still coaching. CBJ if this it true is trying to play his on players against the school, I don’t like this at all In fact it pisses me off. If CBJ is really saying this to the players he is trying to turn players against the school and each other. Again just passing this alone

If the second thing is true it says three things!

1. Tony B was wrong as normal when he said there was NO WAY Gruden would ever coach here

2. That there IS legs to the talk about hiring Gruden

3. That Butch is ever bit the dirt bag we all think he is ...

Interesting story which reminds me of a conversation I had about a month ago, of all places, the dog park. I was wearing my Tennessee shoes and a t-shirt...when a woman walked up and said "I guess you're a Tennessee fan?" We talked for a few minutes, she mentioned her nephew graduated from UT last year and played football. She went on the say that he said things are horrible in the locker room and most of it was due to Jones pitting the players against one another in an attempt to create position competition.

How is what blackjack said on VQ not even being discussed? JAV said blackjack knows more than he does, and if blackjack says something take it seriously. Blackjack said “I started off at 0% went up to 35%, and after what I’ve been hearing I’m now at 75% that we get Gruden.” Something to that effect, so why is this not being discussed more? JAV vouches for him and says he knows more, so that should mean a lot.

Because most of us, in this thread, are already there. Just because someone, even though trusted, from the outside jumps on the train; doesn't mean that there is going to be massive discussion in here. JM2C.

If I was a player on CBJ current team and he’s saying “Hey they’re trying to replace me with Gruden.” I wouldn’t mind. Saying Gruden is coming, a guy with big NFL association isn’t a good way to keep your players on your side. These guys wanna play and make the $$$.

Yep. The longer this drags on the more I believe all 3, especially the third point.

Yes, the coach at South Pitt. The reporter for the Chatt newspaper reported it. He mentioned it a couple weeks ago in a tweet as well.

Coasty I think tony either doesnt know about Gruden or he is hiding it bigtime, Swain on the other hand is just the opp. Swain said he called Tony yesterday and talk to him bout several things so maybe swain let him in on some things take that with a grain of salt.
