I read DP's posts yesterday and came away thinking he had some sort of agenda. He appeared to be trying to spread a message ( disinformation ). JMO

Its been said a few times since, it wasnt even the information he was spreading but how he went about it doing it.

Correct, and he claims previous employment with the UTAD. That would explain many of his post on here including recent post stating he doesn't work for the UTAD. Additionally, he would still have those connections inside the UTAD.

Could be why Ainge went all nega-grude yesterday. We beat up on Deerpark pretty bad. Maybe EA was throwing shade back at us. Ok, this is too conspiracy for me. I can’t believe I typed this.

But what I've been watching closer than anything is the ESPN on-air reporters (Gruden's co-workers) . In 2012 some went as far as making shave-your-head bets with Knoxville sports reporters. This time it is really silent except for Pawll and Laura Rutledge. Pawll said it was a possibility and Laura said she used to laugh at the suggestion Gruden would coach at Tennessee but that she's no longer laughing. I'm still waiting on others to pitch in but looks good up till now.

This part, "Cade thinks highly of Butch and would like to see him return" is what I had issues with. Not a big deal either way. One thing we can agree on it seems is we need a good, new coach.

My belief in all of this has nothing to do with either poster. I immediately discount DP, though, because his attitude is one suggesting that this is all a pipe dream. That isn't true, so I must disbelieve any more of what he says. The Beav hasn't said anything that conflicts with other things I know to be true.

He hasn't said anything that is profound either.... The one thing he has said that we should be able to prove or disprove is the Ergen connection ....

If that can be proved or disproved.... then it should put all minds to ease if he is correct.... I see no reason why that should remain such a secret... It is good for business for Ergen if true and made public

if i'm not mistaken it a state law regarding state employees and their endorsements. As the head football coach gruden is a state employee and he would be bound by the state law. The ga would need to change the state law for him to legally be the head coach at ut.

It isn't hard to know that at the very least ergen contributes significantly in the form of sponsorship through dish.

I agree. With him ostensibly spearheading the negotiations this time, and I believe that to be true, he is lucratively moving the marionette to the beat of his own drum. Should UT attempt to alter the script, at the behest of Haslam or anyone else, he walks.

Heather on 99.1 said that during our 1st coaching search Charlie strong said yes to us and then changed his not mind overnight and didn't get on the plane to come here. Is that true? I thought that it was just a flat out no when we asked him if he wanted to be the coach. I never knew was that close.
