If Butch gets another year, then that will almost "Kiffin" the roster, which make it hard to land a big time coach.

Gotcha. I have not paid any attention to the new early signing period stuff. I was aware of traditional early enrollment but didn't know if early signing would impact.

Appears to be Dec. 20-22.

UT has to make a BIGTIME hire or it could be death to the football program for years to come. At this point bringing Butch back would be worse to me than hiring an up and comer. His strength so far has been recruiting and there’s no way he’s salvaging this class with the type of season we’ve had and we all know he couldn’t coach up a peewee team. I hope all this is just rumor and there’s no way higher ups are even discussing him coming back.

Can we just go ahead and fire Butch please and send a message to the recruits that we aren’t content with mediocrity? Or, are they content with mediocrity and don’t care?

Why are the off topic threads closed? Trying to stir up a conversation about something else. There’s no hope right now in this program other than #Grumors.

So, is the Patriot the best movie ever made or nah?

I don't have VQ but most of what Tony is saying is pretty obvious things that you'd expect to happen.

I mean if you were CBJ wouldn't you be coming up with a plan to save your job that pays you $4+ million dollars a year!?!

CBJ pitching his plan to power people isn't groundbreaking stuff.

He's done though man. Beyond done.

Missouri beat UF 45-16. Is there any way in the world we win that game on Saturday? We are running a skeleton crew and Captain Kangaroo is navigating this season straight into the rocks. It would take a miracle, including keeping boosters happy, to retain Butch.

As Kress said, we are watching TN football die right in front of us.

And the people in charge are doing what? No statements, no action, as far as we know, they are doing nothing. Saying nothing and doing nothing is causing even more harm because of the fan unrest. Empty Neyland wouldn’t have been a thing had they just said something or done something. Their inaction is looking more and more like incompetence every day. Incompetence or indifference. Which one?

I'll try to paraphrase from a post I saw elsewhere. (Gruden thread maybe).

Basically Hubbs said Jones was calling around to a few boosters saying injuries limited the team and sort of pitching making changes.

Said nothing about gaining any traction with that at all and really seemed to shrug it off.
