'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Told ppl he wouldn't play for Butch and his dad understood thus why he finally de-committed. Currie has to STOP playing nice guy and get him out of here. I told ppl the culture was cancerous and kids weren't being developed. Cade is an elite guy and will be an elite OG on the next level and his family knows this. OL is definitely a position no kid should want to play for UT right now. Butch's biggest mistake again to date is not retaining Pittman.

I agree and most people started with thst he can't coach our system bs........huge freaking mistake butch staffs have been huge bust from s and c to lb to dline and wr....secondary and rb hires are solid thst literally it.....its why no development is going on....it all started going down hill when they fired the navy seal guy as s and c

Cade was the staple of this class. Huge blow, and will likely snowball downhill with the rest of the commits. My biggest concern is not even knowing if the Admin will even fire Butch at all.

Not to add to the hysteria but Mike Jones, a Clemson commit from IMG tweeted Cade’s decommitment and pointed out the official visit in two weeks...Cade AND Alontae Taylor liked it. :pinch:

It isn't over by any means. If the kids desire to win a championship and he doesn't think he can do it here, outweighs his pride in attending this University. The same one as did his father, then good luck to him.

A Knoxville legacy player committed for 2 years bolting. At what point does Currie stop the bleeding? Makes me sick.

make me sick as well. TN should have acted after the GA blowout at Neyland. Many have argued Butch should have been let go following the Vandy beat down last year causing Butch & TN to miss the Sugar Bowl.

Not sure what Currie is thinking but I dislike him more and more each day. Maybe he pulls a rabbit out of the hat but time is not on his side. Appears several quality jobs will soon open putting TN football in an even more challenging spot.

GO VOLS!!!

The only recruiting that I care about right now is the that of a new coach.

Both your quotes is what I was thinking but trying to figure out how to express it. I am frustrated that he is still here however. I think I want him gone more than the chance of a bowl game. Reality is I do not think we win another game even if he is here. If I were in his shoes, I would be harder on myself and my performance than any AD or fan could be. I would expect to be fired.

I will defect to Bama if Butch is still the coach next year.

Isnt he an EE too? I wouldnt get my hopes up for Currie's replacement to have enough time to recruit him back. This one really stings. Hope he goes to Clemson, as bad as that sounds. Better than him going to UGA.

Good luck to Mr. Mays. Really hate that it happened this way, but who can blame the kid? He's got NFL talent - doesn't want to waste that opportunity by crossing his fingers and relying on Currie to hire a good coach. Better to seize a good opportunity than take a huge gamble.

Can we stop talking about how great of a recruiter Butch is? We suck ass in year 5 and we are going to lose two 5 stars in our backyard in two years.

Thanks Currie

How is this Curries fault? Get a grip man. That statistics of firing a coach mid season is detrimental to the kids currently committed and it leaves a bad taste in prospective coaches mouths.

Fire currie and the Dumpster fire yall talk about really goes crazy. Sets us back decades. Let the man work. Damn
