Mike Shell says he is now in on Gruden because of the betting lines? Maybe. But I doubt it. He runs a strategic financial investment and consulting firm. I don't think just the betting lines caused him to reverse course.

Ok. I saw your earlier post about the betting lines. It got my attention. When he tweeted that it made me wonder.

Because unlike the NFL, he can get any player he wants (no salary cap). That is why Saban did better in college not so well in NFL (Yet Gruden won super bowl)

He should be able to knock recruiting out of the park!!! (just by name alone imo)

My cringe happened when I saw his face after he realized he wasn't going back in. He's worked so hard for that opportunity, and only got to enjoy it for a half.

I don't understand this obsession with Jon Gruden. He hasn't coached in 10 years. & if he was that great of a coach why didn't some NFL team get him when he got turned loose from his prior NFL employer. And he has said he doesn't want to coach college football, to many rules.

It helps I just got back from Disney so maybe I was still feeling like dreams can come true when this all really ramped up. I think you wanted to believe but it's hard to be the lone wolf. The pack is now moving in the right direction.

He's sore. X-ray was negative....only a sprain. Good news is he can go whenever the soreness allows. Bad news is that could be 4-6 weeks for this type of sprain.

He doesn't have any class on Tuesday, so he's come home again to watch Monday Night Football with the old man, and spend the night at home.

Good to have him home I'm sure.

Beav talked about the betting lines moving...I don't bet but from what I have heard the lines move based on info and money. Beav also said when you are this high the world is very small...we provided the money and he or someone else provided the info just my opinion.

I'll add that, if it is Gruden, you can look for either his OC or DC to come on board with the understanding that if Gruden takes UT back to the top (and he will), the coach-in-waiting is already on board after JG cements his place in UT history.
