Gotcha. Grudometer back to less than 5% now that those sources were discredited as no better than Finebaum. I agree. In 2012 there was the NFL insider guy and the TFP report that made it real.

I will say though. Those came out after Dooley was fired. I think this is going to get completely nuts when Jones is fired. If you weren’t here in 2012 you ain’t seen nothing yet on the Grumors...

Something doesn’t totally add up. I don’t totally doubt his story, but other things are hard to understand about the position in general. It’s a (relatively) low pay position. Duties are poorly defined. Sterling Hinton mentioned several other parts of the dept are asking questions...why not one for women? Why not one for the entire AD? Davis was caught in the middle of all that.

It’s something that definitely needs to be addressed and corrected, but I can understand why it might not have risen to the highest levels as of yet.

I don’t know what Currie should have done. But I heard someone say on the radio today, that if the VFL Cooridinator had been a woman, and she resigned due to mental abuse, bullying, intimidation, etc, then there would probably be outrage. But since it’s a former 1st round OL, nobody seems to care. Currie’s only statement was that he had planned on promoting Antone. I mean, shouldn’t there be an investigation or something? But Currie didn’t do or say anything. Antone said he was concerned about the safety and health of those who are still there, both employees and atheletes. Why wasn’t anything done or any investigation ordered?

This is concerning to me.

I've heard there are a few that will have a shot at it before it gets to him.

The most intriguing to me was John Harbaugh as crazy as it sounds. Not that he would take it but from what I've heard it wouldnt simply be a "No thanks" 2 min phone call.

UT is trying to play big boy ball now and they at worst have the ears of some.

FTR I'm not taking Gruden out of it because I don't think UT or Gruden has to this point.

There you go Greg. Shame the fan base for wanting more from their AD. Anyone saying that a TN fan is a disgrace is disgraceful. TN fans have put up with nothing but crap since Fulmer was fired. The AD has been nothing but one mistake after another, and they have not indicated that they actually care about the fan base other than getting our money.

For 10 years we have shown up and spent money on garbage football. We have checkered Neyland, set attendance records, traveled well, made Tn the second most profitable program in the country, and have sold out the stadium to watch Butch Jones make us a laughingstock nationally. We even supported Derek freaking Dooley. TN fans love this team and these players. We are just sick and tired of the AD not loving us back.

If they want our money, they need to listen to us. That’s all empty Neyland was about. Had nothing to do with the players. I love all those guys. It had to do with Currie and the other guys up there refusing to care about us and continuing to trot our joke of a coach out there each week in spite of the poor play and the recent scandals.

And I don’t care what MacElroy thinks. He played for Bama, an AD who does whatever it takes to win. Who spends the money, makes the hires, does whatever is necessary to be a winner. He doesn’t understand. And he’s been one mocking our program for the past few years as well. So excuse me if I don’t give a crap what he thinks.

Quit shaming the fan base for actually caring about this team, these players, and this program. We deserve better than what they have given us. Our money is the only voice that we have. And if they make a garbage hire again, I hope nobody shows up next year.

There were recruits and commits at the game Saturday. And I think we hire anyone decent then mays will be here bc I assume he will be the new coaches priority #1.

In spite of all the publicity stunts he pulls, and the attention they bring, he has zero championships. Championships are what we want.

Gotta agree. It’s easy for Bama fans and former players of successful programs to pass judgement. If we were always bad or never had the resources it would be one thing. But this situation is the direct result of management malpractice at the highest levels of the AD. The frustration and wanting to make a statement is more than warranted.
