I hardly ever post, but I was around for a lot of the good times around here. Bryce Brown and Gruden were hands down the best threads these
Boards have ever seen!

Don't put too much stock into Basilio IMHO. He got burned badly in the grumors last go around. He was pretty much the only guy in Knoxville who was dead set on a Gruden hire IIRC. He had multiple blog posts from his "insiders" and talked about it on his show constantly. I think he's not trying to look like a fool and lose credibility again.

Enjoy this ride. Silly season is almost upon us. We shall see how this season of As the Gruden turns plays out!

I saw him respond 2 or so years ago to posters that said they believed he worked within the AD office....He responded and said he did not work in the AD offices but was in the AD offices pretty much weekly....or to some effect as such

Don't laugh, I know in the hospital world - at least the one I'm talking about - housekeeping pretty much knows everything. They quietly mind their own business cleaning up rooms, and no one pays any attention to them so they hear everything before anything happens.

You were right earlier ,listening to Cards without Jack Buck isn't the same. Kind of like Vols without the immortal John Ward! After Braves game sometimes I still try to catch Mike Shannon, KMOX still gets here. Another time I'll tell you the run in I had with Al Hrobosky. GRUDEN

I have a hard time seeing Franklin make a move since he is allegedly at his dream destination, is from PA iirc, and already plays in a giant stadium with a good fan base. Penn State will probably give him a raise considering the job he's done after what he walked into. If Jimbo were to make a move this would probably be the year. I'd be satisfied with Patterson the guy is a heck of a coach from what I've seen following the Big 12 (default WVU fan since I had the opportunity to attend graduate school there).

Gruden I believe would have UT competing in his first season and wouldn't need a year 0 so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
