Why do so many people think DP was in the AD? I think at best he had an office in the building, but not working for UT. I don't know if he has ever revealed his connection to UT so I won't say much, but regarding his Gruden comments, I ain't shook in the least.

The message on the Swain Event this morning certainly corroborates many of the theories on this site. Mainly, that there is a big money donor over taking Haslam that wants Gruden. This has my Grudometer off the charts.

With how mad he seemed and the fact he was really into trashing Ergen I bet he's in with the Haslams

At this point, it’s hard to believe anything. It’s clear that Butch is going to coach the next 3 games barring some kind of true disaster. It’s clear that the AD is locked down tight and there’s just no info coming out (for comparison, look at UF in the days before JM was fired and since the position has come open).

The only info we do have from boosters is about Gruden, but it was was EXACT same story in 2012. Noise that the powers that be met and got things straightened out, noise that gruden was approached, noise that he signed an MOU.

Be patient... soon... it’s done... “there is no coaching search, this is all for show”

We were all in until we weren’t. Had a lot of the same people currently feeding us info holding the line on Gruden literally until Butch was at the podium.

Do I fault those guys? No. They shared what they were told. I’m as excited as anyone about the chance of Gruden coming here. But... when the MOU news came out, I realized I had no reaction. And I realized I just can’t totally buy in unless it happens. Hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.

I doubt it. I think the earliest we get an announcement on Butch will be the week of the Vandy game, which is two weeks away. The announcement would be that it is his last game.

I think the earliest we get an announcement on a new coach would be the Sunday after the Vandy game.

He wasn't on his show on Sirius/XM today, and the host on the show swore that he was in Knoxville today (i.e., said he wasn't kidding, etc. - they do a lot of joking on the show, hard to know what they are stating is true unless they specifically state it). Said he was interviewing for a spot on Jon Gruden's staff at UT.

Not sure if this has been posted yet as I have been out of this thread for a little bit this morning with work but from TOS:

Chattavol posted this morning a thread titled "Favorite Stevie Wonder songs??" he posted "signed, sealed, delivered" as his favorite song. Hes supposedly an insider
