This is my first time posting and may be my last as it is outside of my comfort zone! I suffered a painful loss a few months ago. In addition to taking up excess amounts of my time, the Official Jon Gruden threads have given me a much needed diversion from the hard work of grief. I have laughed until I've cried instead of just crying. The intrigue the Beav and ATLvol have provided have brought out my Nancy Drew sleuthing skills. I've laughed at PreacherWebb's lists and GrandVol's updates, prayed for Hawk's wife and SmokinBob's family and Boro's son, and learned law from HearforGrumors. I've appreciated smokeyhuntsgators' faithful "Soon" and SFD's analysis. I'm grateful for the input of other women on the site, and totally impressed Sara Clark called asking for Jon Gruden! So, I just want to thank all the regular posting Grudenites for taking the time to do so and brightening my days. I'm at 95%! SOON!![]()
Except he doesn't work 2 days a week now..
I go back and forth on this. The longer it goes the bigger the hire has to be, it's painting Currie into a corner.
Women run the world. The quicker you learn this the easier it will be for you. This is coming from one of those women who can kick your ass and speak circles around you when it comes to football.
Okay, here's the real question...
If Gruden's son has been enrolled in UT for three years now (assuming that since he's a junior) how often has Pop made a trip into Knoxville those past three years? Much less two trips during a time when we have an active coaching search going on if we are to believe he was in Knoxville last week.
He would have been seen one of those other years, you might think. Given his status as a celebrity commentator, I'm sure someone would have gotten a picture or two just for the #metGruden factor.
One trip is very well documented for the USCe game. The other is rumored. Rumors of the Grudens buying a house. Rumors that it might have been to close on it. Rumors it might have been to seal the deal with the Vols as well. Regardless, two trips into Knoxville for an out or work coach that has made comments he wants to get back in is significant. Buying a multi-million dollar house in an affluent area is not what one does for their Junior in college son.
If this turns out he was in Knoxville last week, this only points to good things. Don't know if it was already posted, but the smoke is there.
Strange. This season he was interviewed and asked about coaching at an event. He said boy I dont know about a return to coaching working studying on the plane Sunday, and calling the game Monday is a pretty good gig
This gig will likely end with ESPN but hes the most sought after commentator in sports. He can get a job on any NFL set on any network.
