No, not ATP, but would love to be instrument and commercial rated. I can't and won't quit my day job. I have a wife and a young son and can't do that. That said, I would love to serve my country and have the opportunity to do something I've always dreamed of. I work as an EE in the electric utility world.

Well, if you do make that choice and end up in flight school give me a shout! You’ll be in my neck of the woods. My husband is a civilian Apache instructor pilot.

This is my opinion only. My opinion is based in part on information I believe to be factual and in part on logical reasoning.

In my opinion everything necessary for Gruden to come to Tennessee wrapped up Thursday with the exception of Butch formally vacating the job. I don't know future time-frames or any info that would let me make an educated guess as to a timeline. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter.

For those concerned about our brand being damaged by Butch, there's nothing he can do (again IMO) to our brand between now and the end of the season that he hasn't already done. But it's also nothing that can't be fixed by the right hire.

And the right hire isn't the only change that's going to help our brand. The leadership at the top is going to help in that regard now, FINALLY.

I don't know about the military option these days. I started Navy flight school when I was 20...LOL But if military is not an option, then best to just start flying lessons and get your instrument rating on your own dime. It would be well worth it.

yes, primarily Coast Guard and Army Reserves, fly rotary wing...So you would need to apply to Warrant Officer Candidate School, unless you have a skill for a direct commission and the try to apply for flight school once your in

I would enlist for OCS. That's my concern, recruiters taking my current skill set and driving me away from flight school. I have a day job, and I love what I do, but I don't need two jobs as an EE.

You should be able to contract for flight school. Always get everything in writing.

I'm jealous you got to fly the T-28. I was "lucky" enough to train in the 34 but nothing compared to that big noisy radial!
