JAV outright said that everyone on the UT side was rowing in the same direction and that the ball was in Gruden's court. Pretty much what LWS referred to when he said it was the bride who kept saying no. I haven't believed before or now that Haslam is blocking anything or attempting to. Gruden will say yes or no to our great offer. All we can do is hope it MGCA. #MakeGrudenCoachAgain
I believe that too. I'm at 65%.
I agree. It all just boils down to whether he wants to coach college football or not. No other obstacles.
You don't know how to translate Ape?
He's saying he's glad UT is really going all out on replacement for Jones. He's also pretty tickled they appear to have Gruden in their sights and he's going to throw a nice high society cocktail party if they hire him with the finest wines and cheeses.
He also said he's tired of people coming in here with negative attitudes and wishes the world could be a more positive place. He said we shouldn't be fighting, but working together towards a common goal.
C'mon man, everyone knows Ape-ese.
I think he will stall to see if the tampa job comes open. It has been reported that there is mutual interest.
Why would he be eager to go back and coach for the same organization that fired him a few years after winning their first and only Super Bowl for them?
Ironically, what caused his firing was getting beat at home by his previous team..the Raiders in a game where the Raiders and Jamarcus Russell prevented him from making the playoffs. True story.
Don't get me wrong...still want Gruden 100%...just hard to see him going back to Tampa.

Take this with a grain of salt, but a friend has a source, who correctly predicted Barnes and our bowl a few days before it was public, and he says we have Gruden at 5 years 8 per. Again, this is an extreme reach, but he has not been wrong yet.
The chances are as good as they will ever be;
Not VQ. 3 different sources. Still low odds it happens.
In East Tennessee. Has absurd offer. Hasn't said no this whole time. Been negotiating. No one is opposed. Any statements that academics or other boosters are in the way are false.
Sorry to be vague, but back when everything went quiet in October, I was told to be quiet as well. I'll share this now because it seems we're to the point it no longer matters.
UT has pushed all the chips in. If it doesn't happen now it's because he folds and walks away.
This is from another forum and there is no insider info claimed:
Also, JAV said:
Also this, again from another forum:
It is my belief that everyone is now on the same page and the ball is in Gruden's court. He may have already accepted or turned it down, but the sudden silence from all sources certainly means something.
So did anyone ever determine why Butch was not suspended due to the Bk investigation? Did Currie unruffle the feathers of the parents?
Southern Mississippi at Tennessee
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET
What is it going to take for Butch Jones to get fired? This is a question that is weighing on a lot of Tennessee fans minds. The Volunteers are 3-5 and have lost four straight games, including South Carolina at home and Kentucky in Lexington. Southern Mississippi comes to Knoxville for Tennessees homecoming. If the Golden Eagles are able to capitalize on the Volunteers' miscues to win the game, fans of the orange and white may have an answer to the question above.
Pick Southern Mississippi
Makes sense to keep him all season. The bluest font you can imagine for that first sentence
