I said when the Lakers drafted Kuzma that they would be getting a steal. Loved watching him at Utah, but I didn't expect he would be producing this quickly. For all the hype of Lonzo and Fultz, they have a lot of growth and learning to do before they will warrant that draft position. Obviously, they are just rookies, but their deficiencies are pretty apparent.

You argued that Harden was a good defender for 3 years, your opinion on defense holds about as much weight as D4Hs talent evaluations. It's not about stats, his defensive stance is broken and needs fixed.

Do you disagree that he can be hid? I'm not sure what you're actually disagreeing with in my evaluation of Lonzo.

Harden is a lazy defender but he can defend and he contributes on the defensive end. He takes lots of plays off. The whole Harden discussion is stupid because we talk past each other. There is more to D than just stopping your man. I wouldn't say Harden is good at that aspect of it.

Well they haven't tried to hide him so far, so when they figure that out we can talk about it. For now he's defending PGs and he's a liability on defense.

The Harden discussion is stupid because everyone on the planet knows he's awful at defense but you, because stats. For someone that likes defenders you sure do defend ****y ones a lot.

This is what I mean when I say we just talk past each other. I just made several points, none of them mentioning stats.

Several points on Harden? You vaguely mentioned him contributing on defense. One=several?


And if you are referring to Ball you mentioned his blocks and rebounds (stats), and hiding him on D. Which is irrelevant at this point because he guards PGs.

So where are these several points none of which are mentioning stats?

The Harden D discussion is a different discussion from the evaluation of Ball's first 7 games....

I said "and if you are referring to Ball" because you like to vaguely word things so you have wiggle room to switch directions. Figured I'd cover both just to be safe.


So in summation; you have nothing. Glad we can move on then.

These are all the points I made about Harden and defense:

Harden is a lazy defender

I wouldn't say Harden is good at that aspect of it

Does 4 count as several?

Oh I thought you were still arguing he's a good defender. So 3 of your 4 "points" about Harden's defense are negative comments? Glad we finally agree he sucks at D.

I'm just talking basketball. My position is nuanced and I don't care if I make points in your favor. I'm just trying to make the points that I think are accurate. You're obsessing over the statistical component because I guess you are trying to win something?

The fundamental difference in our positions is that I put more value on team D and possession. It's OK that we disagree.
