No harm I knew when I posted it some knit would be found to pick. Everyone is on edge and all our nerves are frayed. I think so many are desperate for hope we look for anything to prove or discredit what others say. I don’t take much of this personal as I know what I have been told and everyone can take it or leave it.

I know you don't like the attention, but hope you don't mind me taking up for you a little... :hi:

I am still confused why MIT_Beaver was tweeting Currie last night. He's claimed for over a week that the Gruden deal was done and was a sure thing. If that was the case, then why did he even need to tweet Currie at all, especially those types of tweets.

I think the Haslams got cold feet in 2012 about the loss of influence in the AD after negotiations with Coach Gruden. They made a last minute decision to bail (See Browns/McCarron as example)

Fast forward to 2017 and the Haslams already know what they’re going to have to give up in power pre-negotiation. They knew the writing was on the wall with Butch. They installed Currie behind everyone’s back to shore up their position against hiring Coach Gruden and his demands for control (see boosters vs. Bryant Jr. at Alabama). But Ergen’s side was ready this time. Currie’s approach to another coach may actually be an attempt to call Ergen’s bluff (see how serious he really is). Ergen, et al, is ready for just such a move and has a little help from a furry friend to gain support from the fan base. A little help from a venture capital firm to gain support from the Chancellor (see her decision to keep facilities management in-house). And, possibly, Peyton Manning with his rumored outside support for something???? Now, Mr. Haslam and Jr., are you on-board or not? (See once again Alabama vs. Bryant, Jr.).....

Well that is a good thing to note.

I could be off on this, I'm certainly not as self-assured as the contrarians seem to be. But I recall his camp saying he was not a candidate, or interested, or contacted...something before the official firing.

I'm certainly not invested enough to argue with the haters.

It's easy to overcome for me...they have to make a Gruden sized effort for me to ever care again. Doesn't have to be him, though that's my obvious choice, but it better be a big money homerun swing. I want to see a commitment to reaching a championship level, before I commit again.

this.

He said he knew who was calling about the job and that made him happy. He said he can't say bc it would not be good for the guy calling about the job. So, yea, he knows something.

Mullen maybe. He been begging to get out of MS for a few years now.

The only people who see those tweets are his followers. Even if you @someone, when your tweets are protected, they don't see them unless they're a follower.

so he's just talking to air, makes you wonder then if he knows that or not, and if he does that really makes me wonder

nice 4th post :good!:

a power shift did indeed take place?
do tell?!.

Everyone would love to get 100%, without a doubt, hardcore information on every move of this entire situation.
You will never get it.
Especially on here.

If anyone has been on this board the last few days and kept up with all of the information presented...

It is a pretty safe assumption that this is what happened.

We will never know EXACTLY what took place in this deal when all is said and done.
